Chapter 1 Death Is A Friend
Many people look at death the wrong way. They fear it, and unrealistically hope it never finds them.
He learned more from death than he did from life. Things most people will never experience.
Nor will they ever understand until that day comes for them. It’s a sad truth, but a truth nonetheless.
The events that take place next are all true. Maybe it’s because he wants the world to know he exists finally. Or maybe, he finally accepted who he was. Who am I to say, I’m only telling the story that is a miracle in itself. Something divine and beyond our comprehension. So let’s go back to the beginning. We will start with the day he was born. We know the circumstances. It will always be the “why” that eludes the human mind.
He was born January 20th 1990, at a minute before midnight. A normal healthy baby boy. His mother couldn't take him home for a week. He had to be put under the lights because he was jaundice. A common issue when babies are born. After losing her first child his mother couldn't bare the strain of not having him in her arms. she cried for days and counted the minutes until she could bring her son home for the first time after giving birth. As she stared into his eyes she said "I love you, Gabriel Xavier Logan.
She said he was the easiest baby to take care of, out of the two other children she would eventually have. He slept, ate, pooped, and slept somewhere. He slept so much his father always had to make sure he was still breathing. Especially a baby almost a year old sleeping 12 hours a day.
