Andy stared out the window and muttered to himself irritably. He hadn’t wanted to come back to New York in the middle of the summer. He’d wanted to hold off until the fall. But Eleanor had suddenly decided she was done with her brief vacation and wanted to go home. The heat in Virginia in the middle of summer did not really endear anyone to the area. Eleanor had lasted less than two weeks in the rental before she’d declared herself done. Then one of the few bits of paperwork that Andy had been eagerly awaiting finally fell into his hands—the title for the Studebaker.
