Seven When Destiny awoke, night had consumed the little room’s window, declaring she had napped past midnight. The moon smiled across the bed cover as she unfurled it and crawled inside. I guess I need more rest than I thought, she surmised. She closed her eyes to the night and slept another eight hours. She did not dream of babies, or of her parents; she did not dream at all. Her body sought time to heal, and her weary mind finally gifted the unfettered sleep to begin the healing process. With her body-mind working in tandem over the next few days, Destiny regained her physical strength and a renewed sense of calculated deliberation.
