“ Did you sleep well?” Nicholas asked his grandfather walking into the dining room and sat down.
The chairman was already seated eating.
“Yes I did”
“ I heard the inauguration went fine, how was the setting?” The chairman asked.
“ It was okay, but I really did not think that was necessary” picking a fork.
“ of course it was, you are the new president of the company” the chairman said immediately.
“ Would it not be nice to have a family to eat with like this, speaking of which, I have another project for you”. He said again staring at him.
“What is that” Nicholas looked at him chewing his food.
“MARRIAGE”
“WHAT” Nicholas said shocked.
“ You need to get married, you can not be single forever”
“ No, I am not interested and besides there is so much work to do, I prefer to drown myself in work than to date right now.”
“But why?”
“ I have to go, I’ll be late to work” he said and stood up abruptly.
“ we are not done talking yet,”
“ there is nothing more to talk about” Nicholas said leaving.

“ Can you believe my grandpa asking me to get married?” Nicholas asked Daniel
“But I told you to date you said no” Daniel said driving.
They were heading to the office, Daniel was driving with Nicholas in the passengers seat.
“ That is the least priority on my mind right now, I don’t even have time for that” Nicholas said squeezing his face.
Later that day
……
“ The chairman is here” Daniel said to Nicholas and entered the office. Followed by Mr Stephen, his grandfather. Nicholas was seating in his office.
“ I was talking to you earlier and you left immediately” he said as he entered.
“ is that why you came to the office today? I told you there is nothing else to talk about, I really don’t have - ” he said shuffling through some documents.
“ That is exactly why I put together a list of 10 eligible ladies on the business sector to go on a blind date with, all you have to do is show up”
“ Wow, you did that by yourself, that must have been hard” Daniel said amazed.
“ of course it was, I don’t want the media to get a hold of it and cause rumors so I did it myself”
“ I am NEVER going on a blind date, you’ve wasted your time”
“UGH, did you really not date any woman, how is that possible?” His grandfather said sitting down
“ I have told you I am not interested”
He looked at Nicholas and Daniel suspiciously ,
“ Are you two dating? I am open you know” Mr Stephen asked.
“ WHAT” they looked up and said in unison.
“You two are always together”
“ I am not sure about him but I can definitely assure you that I am not into men, and even if I was, he is not my type” Daniel said immediately facing Nicholas.
“ oh! he is not” Mr Stephen said laughing.
“ what do you mean , what is wrong with me” Nicholas looked at Daniel confused.
“ You know what, to prove I am not into men, I will go on the blind dates” he replied to his grandfather.
“ Really, you heard him Dan, you are a witness to this.”
“You really can not back out you know” he said pointing at him.
“ I will send you the details Dan and I don’t want to hear anything like you are too busy and whatnot” he said again leaving looking at Nicholas sternly.

“ Dad I got the job” I shouted running down the stairs from my room.
My mom and dad were already in the shop arranging this early. They looked at me happy.
“ Are you serious, that is great” my mom said happily.
“ yes I woke up to the message”
“ my dad and mom hugged me laughing .
“ what is going on, why does everyone look so excited this morning?” Abigail entered smiling.
“ I am now an employee of Bexley Publishing particularly in the marketing team.” I said rushing to hug her.
“ and it’s all thanks to you”
she hugged me back laughing.
“ So you would start as soon as possible but we have that event to go today remember” Abby said eyeing me.
“ oh yes! Let’s go to my room” we rushed up the stairs laughing.
Few hours later
“ Do I really have to do all this” I asked Abigail while she did my make up.
Abby took me shopping and decided to also do my make up there.
“ Of course you have to, you have to look elegant and rich, remember the plan is to make him not like you, so I can get my father off my back once and for all”
“ you know I am only doing this because it’s you and-”
“ also because of the money, I know” she said cutting me off.
“ Okay then”
“ you look beautiful” she said smiling as she finished up.
I found myself waiting for my so-called blind date while thinking to myself.

“ Miss Abigail” a voice said from behind.
I turned and saw a man looking at me
He is so hot
“ you are Miss Abigail Stone right?” He said again.
“ yes”
He really is so good looking. I thought to myself staring.
He moved toward me and took a seat.
I really would love to appreciate and admire his looks but I need to end this quickly
Let me start by being rude
“ I don’t even know who you are, your name is?” I said handing him my supposed business card
He also did the same and handed me his business card too.
“ Nicholas Grey” he said
“ Nik what?” I said rudely looking at the business card,
Wait am I seeing correctly? , isn’t this Bexley publishing company
