A Memorable Feast with my family

My Name is Ibrahim, I had an unforgettable feast with my family this year. It all started when we were given a one month holiday by my school after the completion of our examinations. I attended Markaz Ta'alim Arabiy Wal Islamiy , Agege Lagos. One of the best islamic school in Nigeria founded by his eminent sheikh Adam Abdulahi Al- ilory and succeeded by his son sheikh Habibulah Adam Al- ilory. It was the end of the session , so we were given holiday to mark Eid Kabr ( a festival or feast celebrated by the Muslims of the world), that begins the memorable feast with my family. I left agege at exactly 9:30am in the morning but because of the traffic , i arrived at my house at exactly 12:30pm in the afternoon, it's a four hours journey. When i got home, i was welcomed by my brothers, my sisters and my mum. After that I ate and i have some rest. Unfortunately my dad is not at home. He went for hajj, and i was surprised because i have no idea when he was going. It was three weeks to Eid Kabr , a great Muslim festival. During my stay at home, i committed myself into studying, because i considered knowledge as power. If you are exceptional in books, then you can also give in your best to islamic knowledge and that has always been my thought after i finished secondary school and my dad persuade me to go further into islamic studies. Though it has not been easy , but consistency and hardwork is the key though some people advised me to go to university or polytechnic but i believe every knowledge is a gain having in mind how i dedicated myself into studying. Islamic studies is a discipline encompassing both the religious, moral, intellectual, all great aspects of Muslims. I discovered that going to an Arabic school is not a waste of time , every knowledge needs dedication, that's why i instill my dedication in it. Though it's my first year in Arabic school , i have learned alot. An opportunity comes but once that's why I give it all. We were taught by discipline , moral and highly respected mullahs and teachers. Inspiring us in the way of God and it's doctrine. Our seniors are also amazing impacting us with the knowledge they have gathered so far , there's a lot of morals, moral teaching is not exempted. We were taught both day and night by our seniors , giving us their best and emphasizing on the search for knowledge in this world and hereafter. All this makes me bold and courageous knowing that Education is the key that opens the doors of success. I met with a lot of people in my school, those who have passion for it and those that did not have. My school is a world itself, A world of knowledge , Great Mullahs and teachers. One of the best Islamic school in Nigeria even in the world. Focusing on all round success of their students in all aspects. All this experience makes me to search for knowledge no matter what. Though my holiday seems boring at first but studying is my major priority. I just want to be proud of myself, just want to give in my best to what I am doing, perhaps the world is awaiting for the best. I study everything i know i can gain knowledge from, i study islamic books, read it over and over again including mathematics, English and many more. I study all i think is important. My holiday is both boring and interesting , sometimes I play football with my friends in the street though am not really good at playing football, but i see it as having fun. I also go out with my friends just to play with them, since it's been a long time we have seen eachother. One of the interesting thing about my holiday is my mum's cooking, she cooks the best, she's the best cook in the world. I enjoyed her food a lot . When am in school, i missed her cooking. Her meal is delicious, nutritious and a locally made food to be precise. I play alot with my brothers and sisters, they are the best, we play , gist , talk and we have fun. I also visited my step mother , her house is near to my street, so i visited her just to greet her and perhaps make her aware of my stay at home. The holiday period is a chance to prepare for the great feast. Sometimes i would go to my elder brother house just to greet them. I also help keep his shop , if he is not around. He is a graduate, he sells clothes and accessories. He is a youth we are proud of . Having a business of your own , working hard all day shows a consistent and dedicated youth. I also put my hands in gaining insight from learning online. Internet remains the fastest and easiest way to improve your literacy that's why I make use of the opportunity. I gain insight into coding , website , graphic designs and many more, it really enlarge my ideas about the computer world. The world is drastically changing to an era of computer literacy , having a little bit of knowledge about computer would help . My holiday is fun and amazing. It keeps me awaiting for the big feast. Every day during my obligatory prayers , i pray for all Muslims of the world, the pilgrims of Hajj and most importantly Eid Kabr should meet us in good health abundant blessings. One of the amazing things about my holiday is the fact that, I direct the congregation with my brother who lead us in prayer. Since our father is not home we have to lead the prayer and glory be to God who direct and guide us. My holiday is the best, Looking at the wonderful things Eid Kabr would bring for all Muslims.
