Man in trouble.
It shone brightly on the four shores of Crystal. The men were already out for work while the women prepared their children for the day. The teenagers prepared for the royal dance where a boy and a girl will be picked to be the new model of the villages. Their head model was the princess of course, no one could beat her when it comes to beauty and manners. But that was not the main reason this dance was organized.
" Marcella open the door this instant." The king yelled.
" Calm down dad. I'm coming." She said as she opened the door with a huge smile on her face.
" What kept you from opening the door the first time?" The king asked looking at her suspiciously.
" I was uh sleeping." She laughed funny.
" Marcella when will you ever stop this habit? You're a princess and you have to behave like one. Be down in twenty minutes, the dance will commence one hour from now." The king said and left.
" You're a princess and you should behave like one. " Marcella mimicked. " Can't I just sleep for at least one hour into the day? It's just past six." She mumbled.
" And you were supposed to be up by five." Her twin brother, Marcellus said as he walked into the room.
" I'm not you."
" I wasn't the one who asked to read your fairytales till one." He smirked.
" They're not fairytales. They are science." She said as she packed her hair in a bun.
" I'll leave you to get ready baby sister." He said as he ruffled her hair.
" I came out before you." She scoffed
" Well the midwife says the opposite." He said as he ran of the room.
She had her bath with the help of her personal maid and wore a lace like emerald green offshoulder Aline gown. It's hands were designed with flowers and the hem of the gown were designed with diamonds. It fitted her at the bust to the waist. Clara, her maid helped her style her hair in curvy waves and wore a gold tiara on her hair.

" You look beautiful my flower." The queen said when Marcella came out of her room.
" Thank you mother." She said and hugged her.
" You're supposed to walk besides me since you have no suitor." Marcellus said and she smiled.
" How considerate baby brother? You don't look bad yourself." She winked and placed her right hand in his outstretched arm.
" Father, mother." Her older brothers bowed their heads as a sign of respect.
" Ethan, Nicholas." The king blessed them and they rose their heads.
" Don't you look handsome prince Ethan?" Marcella teased.
" I'll pretend not to hear the sarcasm." Ethan smiled. They all walked to the carriages chatting happily. Marcella, Marcellus, Ethan and Nicholas were in one carriage while the king and queen were in another.
**
" Do you think the villages would welcome us?" Marcella asked worried
" Why wouldn't they? Dad's the best king they've ever had." Ethan said.
" I know. But after that incident with the minister, will they be welcoming to the man who killed their head?" She said thoughtfully.
" Cheer up baby sister. The head still has the blame he shouldn't have done what he did." Ethan said and she smiled.
The rest of the journey to the square was quiet. Nobody spake a word to each other except Marcella who was trying to get her brothers attention. They got to their destination peacefully and Marcella giggled happily as the air passed her hair.
" Your majesties." The new village head said and bowed deeply.
" Constable." The queen smiled.
The sat in the seats arranged specially for the royal family but Marcella refused to sit with an exxuse that she wanted to see the winner from down below.
Before the dance commenced, the king gave his usual speech and she used that as an alibi to sneak from the square into an alley. She saw moving shadows in the alley and heard a muffled voice like someone was being attacked but he couldn't cry out.
She walked towards the direction of the sound and saw five hefty men surrounding one young man about twenty years of age.
" What has the young man done?" She asked with authority. The men turned to her and snickered, seems they don't know her.
" Stay away little girl, it's none of your business." One of the men said.
"All the men of his age are gathered in the square and you're bullying him. I demand to know the reason." She said with authority.
" We don't owe you any answer. " One of the men said walking towards. She wasn't afraid but when the man brought a knife, her heart leaped in fear.
" I wouldn't take another step if I were you." She heard a familiar voice say behind her. Did he follow me? She thought. The man looked at the owner of the owner of the voice and his once fearless expression turned fearful.
" We'll deal with you some other time." The men said and they left.
" Are you okay?" She asked as she walked towards the man who was being bullied.
" Thank you for your help." The man said and ran away before she could get to him.
Weird!
" What are you doing far away from your family? " Ethan asked her.
" I wanted to see the village. " She smiled.
" Let's get you back to where you belong. " Ethan said and stretched his right hand.
" He looked weird, like he needs help. " She murmured.
" They all look like that. Don't let his look deceive you. This is why you shouldn't come outside. " He shrugged.
" Let's go. I'll find him some other time and get a proper thank you. " She said and left the alley with her brother.
