Chapter 6
As soon as she arrived home from work, Stella went to find Denise. She didn’t even stop by her mother’s to see Josh.
‘Guess what happened to me today.’
Denise stopped cutting up the salad she was preparing. ‘Going by that stupid grin on your face, I’d say you’ve seen him.’
Stella pirouetted and twirled her skirt. ‘Shaun took me to lunch.’
Denise put down her knife. ‘Just like that? You only met him the other day.’
Stella hugged her sister-in-law and kissed her on the cheek. ‘He just called out of the blue and asked if I’d join him for lunch.’
‘Where’d you go?’
‘Cibo, in Hutt Street.’
Denise frowned. ‘That doesn’t sound very romantic.’
‘And, he’s asked me to dinner tomorrow night, at Gaucho’s.’
‘Are you going?’
Stella grinned. ‘What do you think? Of course, I’m going.’
