Twenty-four hours after Julia had been abducted, Nadia's mobile phone rang. She looked at the display.
'It's him. What do I do?'
'Answer it,' said the policeman, 'it's on speaker.'
Nadia picked up the phone and accepted the call. 'Hello?'
'So nice to hear your voice, Nadia. Did you sleep well?'
'Who is this?' said Nadia.
'Don't you remember me, Nadia?'
'I don't think so,' said Nadia.
'You will.'
'Do you have Julia?' said Nadia.
'She's such a lovely girl, isn't she? Do you miss her?'
'Is she alright?'
'She is for the moment but if you want to see her again, I'm afraid you're going to have to do something for me, Nadia.'
Nadia took a deep breath. 'What do you want me to do?'
'Something you failed to do for me the last time we met but now I'm giving you another chance
