Chapter 3: The Hidden Profile
Isabella’s bleary eyes focused on a tiny detail she’d missed before: a seemingly insignificant “like” on one of “X’s” few posts. It was a link to a local news article about a recent string of robberies targeting antique shops. Intrigued, Isabella clicked the link. The article mentioned a distinctive method used by the thief – a specific type of lock pick only used by professionals. Her father was also a renowned locksmith, had often spoken of this unique tool, lamenting its rarity and the skill required to wield it.
A jolt of recognition shot through Isabella. She remembered the conversation of her father weeks before his death about this robbery. Her father said that the police were so close to find out who the thief was but he ran away and left a piece of paper. Inside the paper was the only intimal "X".
As Isabella reminisced she felt the chilling feeling in her bones. This man can be involved with her dad's death. She
continues to look through the posts of this guy. His post were all abour crime and tips but Isabella doesn't know if this guy is a criminal or not. Deep inside Isabella's mind she knows this guy is a bad guy.
Isabella was searching clues for this mysterious guy. She had a gut feeling that this guy might be one of his dad's friends or worst she might know this person. She was getting more tired and tired. She turned off her laptop and laid down on her bed. Isabella was deep in thought. She stared at the ceiling for a moment trying to think who this guy is.
While thinking she then doze off and is put in a deep slumber. She saw her father in her dreams. In her dream he was very happy in his lab, he was working on an experiment for new findings when a man went in the lab. He was wearing a mask, dark hair and a tall slender man. Her father Dr. Aris was puzzled, he asked the guy what he was doing and his he got here when the guy pounced on him and suffocate him with plastic, then he dragged Dr. Aris in the sugarcane field and.....
Isabella screamed and finally woke up. She looked around and saw that she was just in her room. She breath a sigh of relief when she saw her room. Shock and horror washed through her, she was right her father didn't die due to a heart attack it was by someone else's sabotage. Anger fueled Isabella as she needs to get an explanation for this. She is now more determined to find justice for her father.
She laid back down to bed feeling uneasy and scared but most of all anger. She's not backing out, her mind now fixed on what she's about to do. Isabella fell asleep once again.
She woke up the next day only to find her mom cooking breakfast for her in the kitchen. Isabella greeted her mom and asked when the funeral is gonna be held. Juana replied "Next week dear". Isabella nodded and ate breakfast. While eating she was thinking of her plan, to find out who killed her father and exposed him in the whole world, but she knows she can't do this alone so she needs to tell someone who can understand her.
She thought about it for a second but no one seemed to be a perfect match for her plan. Isabella decides that she's going to be the only one who brings her father the justice he deserves.
Isabella went back to her room and continued searching. She sneakily went to her father's lab in the backyard to find more clues. She wore a pair of surgical gloves and rummaged through her father's things for any clue. She was busy rummaging through drawers, she accidentally hit a box filled with notebooks.
Isabella picked them and put them back on the table. Curiosity washed over her and went to grab the notebooks. She read them one by one and all of those are just boring findings and experiments.
She opened the last notebook and saw something that was pretty unquestionable. It was her father's journal. At first it was just some typical journal, talking about what he did this day and that. When she opened the last page her eyes narrowed as she read the note.
"Xmarksthespot"
Isabella didn't understand the note because what the hell is "Xmarksthespot".She tossed it aside and continued to search for more clues. While searching she remembered something. "What if that is involved to the guy?". Isabella tries to think and puts her conclusions together.
It is! There was a connection!
Isabella has thinks that I has something to do with the guy's name in f*******: the letter "X".
"What could the connection possibly be?"
