The Rogue's Birth Right

Episode 5

He started to chuckle at my reaction “you start tomorrow, 8 o’clock sharp” jumping around I was so happy as I left the store not wanting to wait for tomorrow to arrive. I know what your thinking how can I like working, well when you’ve been on your own for most of your life it’s nice to be around people and I just love being around animals it’s like we are on the same wave length. Walking back to the inn I took in the views of everything around me and noticing that their were a lot of people on the street for a weekday. I had inherited money from my parents that no one could touch until the day I turned 18, it was a lot but I’m used to working so I try not to touch the money unless it is desperately needed.

The past couple of days I've spent some of the money as I've not had enough in my savings to continue being on the run and being able to rent an apartment while having time to get a job. Stopping by some shops I ended up buying some smart clothes and made my way back to the inn, bags in hand I walked past the old man as he smiled at me "back already my dear?" Smiling back at him. I nodded "yes gramps and i managed to get a job while i was out, i will help you in the morning with breakfast but then i will have to be straight off to work" he started to frown at me "you don't have to help me in the mornings you’re a guest" shacking my head "I don't mind at all i enjoyed it this morning" he smiled at me then started to shoo me away.

He shouted "GO PUT YOUR STUFF AWAY AND JOIN ME FOR LUNCH" shouting back "OKAY GRAMPS" as I ran up the stairs to the room I will be living in for a little while. I started to pack away the stuff I had bought I started to make my way back down stairs when I heard a smash on the ground, I ran in to the old man who was knelt on the floor in front of a younger man with a threatening stare. Glaring at the guy I was seething "who do you think you are to come in here and start smashing things up?" I growled through gritted teeth. "I see you've been hiding a rouge in your house old man" a deep husky voice came from the guy, my eyes shot wide as I face palmed my hand.

The guy started to laugh at me "oh like you didn't know little one" shaking my head "no I didn't know but that doesn't give you any right to do this". Standing tall the guy glared at me as the old man grabbed my wrist "don't, he's an alpha and he's my grandson" turning round to now face gramps "wait what? If you knew I was a rouge why be so nice and let me stay?" Gramps got off his knees as he shrugged "I don't know I just saw someone who needed help" closing my eyes at gramps, I looked back at the guy who found this whole situation amusing I glared at him.

Standing right in front of him "I will leave" turning to go back up the stairs he grabbed my wrist yanking my back into his hard chest "NO your coming with me" glaring over my shoulder at him, "get off me" his eyes flashed golden as he growled "show some respect I'm alpha of The White Claw Pack" frowning at him "is that supposed to mean something to me" taking my hands from his grip as I looked between the alpha and gramps on the floor as the look of shock graced their faces. Walking past the grown men I made my way upstairs to pack the few belongings I had, walking back down as they both looked at me and stopped talking.

Looking the alpha in the eyes "I do have a job I'm supposed to be at tomorrow" he raised an eyebrow at me "really a rouge having a job that's a first" I was ready to give him a piece of my mind when gramps stepped in "she's not like the ones you've met or one of those sluts you have hanging of you". Stifling a laugh his eyes shot to his grandfather as the woman from earlier came running in, clinging to his muscular arm "baby why didn't you tell me you were here?" she noticed that I was standing nearby "what are you doing hanging around my man, get lost" turning round "when you're ready to drop the slut I will meet you out side".

Walking out of the house I sat on the porch as I waited for Mr high and mighty to come walking out of the door, the door swung open to a very angry alpha. Staying sat down as he spat "where's this job of yours then?", getting up off the step “it’s a pet store in town, gold writing and a green background" he nodded "okay we will go there so you can quit" freezing to the spot I spat "what?" He turned round "you belong to me since you trespassed on my territory so you won't be leaving the pack house" shaking my head "NO, the animals need me" he stormed towards me "you will do as I say" his eyes turning black showing his wolf was close to taking over.

I sat back down on the porch "I will not do as you say, you are not my alpha" shock crossed his face as he took a step back as he whispered "your eyes?" Turning away from his eyes I don't know what he was talking about. He grabbed my chin forcing me to look at him, "they stay purple, they glow but don't change?" Shrugging as I slapped his hand away. A growl rippled through his chest as he grabbed me hips lifting me off the step, I growled "get off me" he smirked at me as I was about to teach him a lesson, he threw me over his shoulder and started walking to a car I hadn't seen before. He opened the door throwing me inside he followed suit as he shut the door and said "to well pets in town" the driver nodded as the car started to make it's way.

The car stopped and as I got out, I was ready to run until Mr high and mighty got out as well following me to the front door, "welcome, oh alpha I didn't realise you would be coming in today" the husky voice chuckled behind me causing goosebumps to travel down my spine. "I wasn’t planning on it but this little one said she was to start working here with you" the owner looked over in my direction and nodded "yes but she has a different smell now, I didn't know she was a rouge" the alpha turned towards me frowning "different smell that's not possible" ignoring his statement I made my way over to Jake the parrot as I opened the cage when even the alpha said "I wouldn't he will bit your finger off" ignoring him again I picked Jake up and started to pet his wings hoping to not cause him any pain.
