They stopped laughing as they guided me over to the most expensive car they could find. Looking over the car "have you got anything cheaper please?" They guided me over to a 1 litre Vauxhall Corsa, 5 seats, 3 door an 08 plate. For $2399 I couldn't complain, buying the car showing them my licence they seemed shocked that I was old enough to drive a car. Getting into the car, we drive off making our way hopefully to a small town where there are no wolf's and i can live peacefully for a while. About half way to the town Silver started to complain "why do we have to be stuck in this metal machine?" I laughed "its a car Silver and we can't run for a while we need to lay low" she grunted at my answer and I turned the radio on in time for shotgun by George Ezra to come on. Singing along to the series of songs that came on the radio I know that Silver retreated to the back of my mind, nightfall was coming and we still seemed to have a way to go. Silver took over so that I could rest, it was quite peaceful although my mind was well rested our body wasn't. We needed to change that as soon as we could, the journey went by quickly it seemed. Silver pulled the car over in a driveway to an inn, walking inside she shouted "HELLO I WANT TO BOOK A ROOM PLEASE" rolling my eyes at her I spat "your so rude" smirking at my response we saw an older man walk out rubbing his eyes "young lady do you know what time it is?" Silver nodded "its about 3 am" the man looked at silver "it was a rhetorical question, please don't shout so early in the morning" Silver nodded at the man "I'm sorry won't happen again" he gave us a gentle smile while handing us a key "top floor, first door on your right" nodding at him, we thanked him while making out way up to the room quickly locking the door and flopping on to the bed to fall asleep. Waking up to the sound of bells ringing loudly, I shot out of bed running down the stairs to the old man ringing a bell to wake everyone up. Glaring at him he started laughing at my reaction, “you’re a spirited little girl aren’t you” glaring at him “I’m 21 and that’s not the best way to wake everyone up” smirking at my reply “compared to me you’re a little girl and neither is shouting at 3 am” my cheeks went bright red “I’m really sorry about that I wasn’t thinking, what would you like help with?”. The look of shock appeared on his face “it’s 6am” nodding “yes I know” he frowned at me “oh okay, well you can go back to bed if you want” I chuckled “no I’m good thanks, I’m normally up by now on a jog but I’m going to give it a miss today, can I help you in the kitchen?”. The old man turned towards the kitchen not answering my question so I decided to follow him into the bright stainless steel kitchen “wow this is any chef’s dream kitchen” he turned round facing me “I know, my wife was a chef she customised it before she passed” I stopped searching the kitchen looking into the mans eye’s “I’m sorry for your loss” he smiled. Changing his attitude “do you want to cook the bacon and sausages while I get the eggs ready and make a fruit cocktail?” nodding I walked over to wash and dry my hands. Finished with cleaning I grabbed an apron and started to cook the meat, leaving it on the hob I grabbed the egg mix he prepared and started to cook them. Plating everything up I helped set up before the rest of the guests could join us and grab the food, I walked back into the kitchen washing all of the cutlery, pots and pans up. Walking out of the kitchen three guests were sat at the table eating, they all turned to me with wide eyes as someone who had reached the bottom of the stairs “white doesn’t suit you, you shouldn’t dye your hair that colour” flinching at the harshness in the ladies voice I turned to meet a face full of make-up and red lips. Looking at her I spat “it’s not dyed” this made everyone even more shocked as she spat back “purple contacts as well, really trying to be different, aren’t you?” shaking my head “no I’m not, these aren’t contacts, I’m all natural unlike the boob job you’ve have done and lets not forget the facelift, lips and by the looks of it your ass” she went to slap me in the face when I caught her wrist “I wouldn’t if I was you” she glared at me yanking her wrist free from my grasp. Turning around i made my way out of the inn as I said “thank you for your help to day, I will be back soon” the old man nodded at me as I left the front door. Making my way into the town centre I tried looking for any shops, stores and schools that could be hiring people. Walking past a pet store that had a parrot laying on the bottom of it cage, walking into the store. Making my way over to the cage, the parrot looked at me making a small squark. Opening the cage to help the parrot, the owner walked over to me “what are you doing?” spinning round “I’m sorry but there’s something wrong with him” the owner walked over pulling my arm out of the cage “he will bite you keep away from him”. Shaking my head “something’s wrong with him, I can’t leave him like this” I held out my hand for him when he squawked again this time quieter. The owner frowned at as I picked him up searching over the parrot to see if there are any visible marks, the owners frown grew deeper as he was shocked how I was handling the parrot. Touching a certain part on the parrot, he squawked in pain. Lifting him to look underneath, I saw a huge gash on his belly and underneath his wing. Witnessing this the owner gasped as I said “I need some bandages and some ointment” the owner went and got the stuff I needed. I started to treat the parrot, wrapping his wing and belly in bandages. The parrot snuggled into my hands falling asleep, turning round to face the owner he still wore a frown on his face as he questioned “how did you know?” shrugging “I have a way with animals” I placed the parrot in a handmade nest. The owner thanked me as I went to leave the store “just remember to place the food at the bottom of the cage and change the bandages every so often” I opened the door ready to leave “you know that’s the first time that someone was able to handle Jake” smiling at him “not the first time I’ve heard that” he looked up at me “do you want a job here, I run the store on my own and you seem to know what your doing” a big grin crossed my face “oh my god really, that would be great thank you so much” shaking his hand.
