TIDES OF HEART :episode 1 (COASTAL WIND)
Episode 1: Coastal Winds*
Awa stepped off the boat, the salty sea air filling her lungs. The Ghanaian coast was a world away from Lagos' chaos. She'd come to Elmina for a business meeting with local fishermen, hoping to expand her family's seafood export business.
As she made her way to the meeting spot, Awa noticed a figure fixing a net on the shore. Kwame, a tall, rugged man with piercing brown eyes, looked up and caught her gaze. A spark of curiosity ignited between them.
Awa composed herself and continued to the meeting. The discussions were fruitful, and she secured a deal with the local fishermen's cooperative. As she prepared to leave, Kwame approached her.
"Madam, welcome to Elmina," he said, his voice smooth as the ocean breeze.
Awa smiled, intrigued. "Thank you, I'm Awa."
Kwame offered to show her around the town. As they strolled along the coast, Awa felt a connection she'd never experienced. They talked about life, culture, and dreams.
As the sun dipped into the sea, Kwame took Awa to a secluded spot. The waves crashed against the rocks, and the stars began to twinkle.
"Awa, I've never met anyone like you," Kwame said, his voice low.
Awa's heart skipped a beat. She felt it too, this pull towards him.
Their conversation flowed effortlessly, until Awa's phone buzzed. Her family's company was facing a crisis back in Lagos. She had to leave immediately.
Kwame walked her to the boat, his eyes holding hers. "I'll be here, waiting."
Awa left, but her heart lingered on the Ghanaian coast.
