Adrian drove, silent and focused. She sat in the passenger seat with the baby, who'd finally fallen asleep despite the chaos of the morning. Viktor and Nadia followed in a second vehicle, keeping watch for tails.
"How far are we going?" she asked quietly, not wanting to wake the baby.
"Far enough. At least today. We'll stop somewhere small, somewhere we can rest and regroup." Adrian glanced at the rearview mirror for the hundredth time. "Tomorrow we keep moving."
