Three days after Konstantin's death, they gathered in the small beach house living room.
Adrian, her, Viktor, Nadia, Dmitri, and her father, David Morgan, former FBI agent, survivor of six years of captivity.
The baby was sleeping in the nursery, oblivious to the war council happening in the next room.
"We can't stay here," Adrian said. He was standing by the window, looking out at the ocean. "Maria gave us a window to disappear, but it won't last forever. The FBI will have questions. They'll want testimony about Konstantin's organization."
"So we run. Again." Viktor was cleaning his weapon, methodical. A nervous habit. "Where to this time?"
"Somewhere final. Somewhere permanent." Adrian turned to face them. "But first, we have unfinished business."
