Tyler barges into my office just as I’m contemplating whether it’s a good time to take a break for some lunch, grinning at me over the four or maybe even five cloth bags he’s carrying. “I was paid in pie to bring all this up here,” he declares. He’s looking around for some place to put them, so I grab the stack of stuff I was just working on from my desk and set it aside on the floor for now, giving him some space for what I assume is food by the smell. “Paid in pie?
