“Consider it one of those life lessons and walk away,” Taz said. She had finished stuffing her suitcase with clothes, and Jerry was outside, loading up his Mercedes. In a matter of moments, they were going to be on the road back to Denver. Her mom hadn’t made an excuse. She’d gone back into the house, saying she had things to do.
