Return: The Strongest Hunter

CHAPTER I

"Look, her fingers moved!"

"Shh! Cynthia, don't speak too loud! It's annoying."

What's that noise? There seems that someone's talking. It's annoying, who are they, how did they enter my condo?

"Why are you so hot-tempered? "

"Just shut up, will you? Let m'lady sleep peacefully."

I decided to open my eyes slowly while adjusting my eyes and to see who's talking but all I saw was a white ceiling and a grand chandelier who is very unfamiliar to me.

"Oh my! Lizzeth look, she's finally awake!" I glanced to my right when I heard someone again and saw two unfamiliar women dressed in a maid's outfit who is now hurriedly walking towards me while wearing a shocked expression on their faces.

"Thank God you're awake, m'lady." the one who the other one called Lizzeth said in relief.

I looked at her with confusion written in my face.

Where the hell am I?

"Yeah! You don't know how worried we were when we saw you unconscious in the garden. Good thing that Edward saw you and bring you here, or else we don't know what we'll do!" The other maid said that made me looked confused more.

Unconscious? Garden? Edward? What the hell are they talking about?!

But as I asked those questions, floods of memories came rushing to my brain and make me feel so much pain.

"Argh! I-It hurts!" I groaned hard while holding my head tight that made those two maids panicked and started to get the phone from my side table and call someone.

But I didn't pay attention to them anymore because of the pain getting more intense that I began to cry and scream then closed my eyes as to think that the pain will lessen but it only got worse. And minutes passed, the pain finally slowly subdue and all I feel is that I'm sleepy and slowly losing my consciousness. But before I completely lose consciousness, I saw someone enter the room and hurriedly run towards me.

A day passed before I regain consciousness again and all I remember now is that I've been reborn, but not in my old body but as the only daughter of the most successful S Rank hunter - Kenneth Estlie. And he was the one who I saw before I lost consciousness yesterday.

"Why aren't you eating?" I flinched as I heard Illya's father, Mr. Kenneth asked.

I looked at him while sweating and saw that his looking at me with his serious face. He must have seen that I was just toying with my food and not eating it.

"I-It's just t-that.." s**t! what's wrong with you Kyline?! Why are you stammering in front of him?! You are not like this before, why stammer now?

"Change her food." I widened my eyes from shock and then shake my head as if telling the maids to stop taking my food.

"No! there's no need to change my food...f-father." I manage to say but stammer when I say father but it was too late, the maids already take my plate full of foods away and give me another batch of a new dish.

I sighed and just ate quietly so that he'll not ask the maids to change my food. Ten after eating, my maids escorted me back to my room and told me to get some rest before leaving me here.

I don't know why they want me to rest, it's just 10 in the morning. But then again I found myself laying on the bed as soon as the maids leave.

I feel so tired! Why is this body so weak that I'm exhausted already even doing nothing but walking?

If I remembered correctly, Illya Nyx Estlie is a 16 years old girl who is studying at A University and already in her 4th year. And she's often bullied by other students because of her weak personality. But aside from that, she has a loving family that I do not have.

She's different compared to me.

But there's one thing that we're the same, we are taken for granted by other people. *sigh*

I get off from the bed and started stretching and just as I thought, this body's too weak. I can't even lift something that weighs more than 1kg. And this body often gets tired even when it's just walking from this room up to the dining area.

That is the exact reason the original host of this body collapse in the back garden before I was reborn in this body. But I didn't care less because I'm going to make sure that this body will change.

I did some exercising then after, I do sit-ups and jog in place for about 30 minutes. I'll make sure to increase my stamina little by little and do some exercises day and night to make sure it will work before I go to the lion's den next week. I do that simultaneously for about three days and god! I have already seen improvements in this body.

I feel much lighter and energetic than before and some maids also saw the difference that makes me feel overjoyed. My efforts in exercising and secret training in my rooms paid off. You see, I kind 'a keep it a secret from everyone especially from this original host's family which is my family now that I'm in her body.

Another day passed and nothing really interesting happened until the day of my return to school (the lion's den I was talking about before) since my physician said that I've recovered and much healthier than before.

Now, I'm in front of the school gate, 'A University' that's what the writing says at the very top of it. I sighed and gripped the lace of my backpack before entering school.

'Guess I'll go to school again after graduating from my past life.'

I started to walk inside the school premises but as soon as I enter the school. A group of six students surrounds me instantly.

'What the hell is their problem?' I asked in my mind looking at them with a confused expression.

One of the 4 girls in their group smirked at me and signaled her comrades to hold both of my arms and forcefully dragged me to the corner of the cafeteria that is 2 blocks away from the front gate of the school.

'What a far place. I wonder what they want that they had to drag me here?' I asked again in my mind still looking at them calmly.

I'm pretty much confident in my strength as Illya Estlie because I trained this body with so much efforts. I'm not afraid if someone from their group began to harass or attack me. I'll just have to beat them up if that happens. 

I looked at them with such boredom, straightly looking at their supposed leader who is now frowning while looking at me. She must have thought that I am not trembling in fear in front of them as a normal Illya would have been.

"What do you want from me?" I asked with a calm tone while glancing at my wristwatch.

One of them scoffed at what I said and gripped my right arm with such force making me twitch for a second. I glared at him and forcefully pull my arms from his grasp.

"If you have nothing to say or want, please move aside I'm late for my class," I said and started to walk away from them.

They are about to stop me, but good thing that a staff member of the Cafeteria saw us and frowned at us. She was about to start walking towards us when I smiled at her and wave then run away from those six students until I reached my supposed to be 'classroom'. 

'Good thing that the staff member of the Cafeteria showed up or else I don't know what would happen.' I said in my mind with a smirk plastered on my face. 'They would have been beaten up to death if it wasn't for that staff member.' 

I open the door while catching my breath and stopped when I saw my professor looking at me with a frown face. I awkwardly smiled at her then walk slowly till I reach the back corner of the classroom.  I sat down, still innocently smiling at her that made her sigh then continue her discussion again.

I sighed in relief then listened until the end of the session.

"Hey, Illya. Why are you late?" I looked at who was asking and saw one of Illya's close friend -- Samantha.

Samantha.... Hmmm... if I remembered correctly, she was the one who's always with Illya and the one who's really concern about her well being. But still, I can't afford to trust anyone anymore to avoid betrayal in the end. Just like in my past life. And how unfortunate, she has the same name of that b***h who betrayed me in my past life. I clenched my fist when I remembered those memories with that b***h. I was so pathetic and stupid to trust that b***h. 

I looked at the Samantha that Illya knows and saw her worried face while looking at my clenched fist. I heave a sigh then calm down. I don't want her to be near me, that was the same way that b***h look at me before when I got hurt and the reason why I trusted her. I will never trust anyone anymore.

I just smiled at her and started walking until I reached the cafeteria. I sat at the very corner and ordered foods.

I was peacefully eating but then, just like any normal school, there's always some bitches wandering around the school premises. And that said b***h just throw my foods that cost more than 40 credits. We use credits to buy/pay something. We can say that credits here is considered as money. 

I looked at that b***h and saw her smirking while looking at me.

"Why did you throw my foods, Rianna?" I asked, maintaining my calmness to the b***h Rianna.

She laughed that made me frowned.

'What the heck? Did she have a lose screw in her head? Laughing even though nothing is funny?'

"My, my Illya. You know how to talk back eh?" She said while smirking again.

I heaved a sigh then looked at her this time in a cold expression. I hate it when someone looks down on me. Let me see what this b***h capable of. Besides, I was having a hard time maintaining my cool because of those six students from earlier. My fists is eager to punch some annoying b***h anyway.

I stand up, facing her with a blank expression then waited what she would do next. I saw how her expression changed, from smirking into a confused one.

I waited and waited but 5 minutes have passed but the b***h's still standing in front of me with that confused look. 

I heaved a sigh then crossed my arms. Quite disappointed.

"What do you want? Really? I've been standing here for almost 5 minutes and still you didn't say anything. I'm starting to lose my patience here." I asked with irritation written in my face and tone that made them flinch for a second. I smirked. 

'Come on! Do something so I can punch you already and beat you up.' 

"Tsk. Arrogant b***h!" Rianna said and about to slap me that made me smirk even more. 

But before she can even do that, a voice dominated the whole cafeteria.

"Halt!" the voice said that made everyone in the cafeteria to stop what they're doing, including the both of us. 

We looked at the entrance of the cafeteria and saw a professor glaring at the both of us and Samantha who was behind him looking at me with a smile and winked.

'The hell?'  disgusted by the way she winked at me. 

"I want the both of you go to the disciplinary room, right now!" the professor annoyingly said that made me frowned.

'The hell? We even didn't do something yet and he will just send us to the disciplinary room already? Just let me beat this b***h up before that please.'  I annoyingly said in my mind while glaring at Rianna who's glaring at me too.

I heaved a sigh and let myself calm down then follow the professor who's already walking towards the disciplinary room. I looked at Samantha who is still smiling while walking and tsked. 

'A suspicious smile.'
