I warned Barbar about the people I saw in the paintings. I told her that we need to leave, that this place was gone kill her if she decides to stay. It is midnight, and the house is quiet. “Masa had gone off to his shop, it was just down the road from the great big city. Each one of them had his child a year later. Masa hung them girls and they went through a hellish punishment.” She was sobbing while clutching her stomach. My mind went blank as I held her in my arms. I tried to feel her, but I couldn’t. All I could feel was mama. “I’d never let that man touch you, you got me now, we can go to the great big city. In two days just before masa leave at mid night, well clean and leave.” I said to her. I held her hands, looking through her soul, I could see the disbelief, and lack of hope she didn’t, trust her life would be good in my hands. Masa BUSTED Through the door, he was drunk and could barely walk without stumbling “’ Barbara, Barbara “he said as he came in “no. you, you precious come “he said to me as he plopped on the couch. The old man stared out the window, he didn’t dare to look left or anywhere else. I stepped closely, Barbara shook her head , and told me to leave as she walks towards john. “ why are you here ,I didn’t call you” he said to Barbara. I stopped at the door as he got up from the couch. He had slapped the curls from her head , she laid there on the couch , as he walked closer to me. That man hands on my face , reminded me of that man hands who sold me. The oily smell driven threw my nostrils made me nauseous. He held my hands on the wall , as he sniffed my neck. My bones shivered as I tried to push my hands forward , snatching from him. I thought to myself , why did I let him get so close. This vulnerable state I was in , I couldn’t do anything , I kicked and I pushed . BANG
