I've Always Been Yours

Chapter 2

Once we are all gathered into the parking lot waiting to go into "All About The Dresses" our favorite upscale dress shop. Pulling out my phone I send a quick message in our bestie girls group chat (we also have a besties chat with the guys but some things are better off without their knowledge):

Ky- okay girlies. let's show these guys what they're missing out on.

Ali- Oh for sure. If we don't leave here with dates then we definitely need to check out other options Monday.

Aria- They'd be stupid not to ask you and invite you to the hotel.

Leah- Yeah the way they're eyeing us now says most of us will be invited. ;)

Han- for real tho ladies let's get dressed up!!

Putting our phones away while we browse the store. I glance and see Mac and Aria discussing color options and what dress he thinks she'd look amazing in.

Grabbing our first round of options and heading into the dressing rooms I know Hayden's favorite color is green so I save that option for another round. I slip into a bubble gum pink knee length dress (not really prom style but I loved the color!), Hannah is wearing a red fitted dress, Leah has a shorter style dark blue dress, Ali is wearing a fitted green dress that poofs out at the bottle and Aria picked this long gorgeous purple aline dress with a slit up to the knee. It fit her perfectly. I have never seen Mac's eyes so bright when he looked at her. Smiling at her telling her that the dress was perfect for her and since he was her date he'd love to pay for the dress for her. We all smiled at them. They really were the perfect couple.

With Aria finding her dress we're down to the 4 of us now. Leah and Hannah swap dresses while Leah loves the fit of the long form fitting red dress, Hannah decides that she'd rather have a longer dress. We all decided that longer dresses were definitely a must for prom. Leah sticks with the form fitting red dress, Hannah opts for a long navy blue style dress, Ali is wrapped into this beautiful soft yellow long flowing dress that fits her body style perfectly and the soft yellow pairs perfectly with her golden brown skin and long ash blonde wave curls.

After the second round of dresses I noticed Hayden looking around the selection so I venture over to see if everything is okay! "Hey. are you alright? You seem upset. Did we do something wrong? Do you wanna leave?" I ask him so fast that he doesn't have time to respond before he takes me in a hug, tells me to calm down he isn't upset he was just looking for a dress for me. I see him standing by a beautiful deep green dress, strapless with a corset back, beautiful beading lacing the bodice and skirt. I decide to pluck the dress and tell him I want to try it on.

Walking into the dressing room with just me I ask Ali to come in and help with the back of the dress. Smiling at Hayden I noticed he's grouped around with his friends in a small huddle while they all keep glancing over at the girls. Winking at me I blush I bit before I smile and walk into the dressing room! The dress is amazing. So perfect. The dark color goes amazing with my light skin tone, dark brown curls and hugs my body in all the right places.

Walking out of the dressing room I notice how Hayden's eyes darken as he takes in my body like it's the first time he's ever seen me. Glancing around at everyone else I ask timidly "does it look okay? or do you hate it?" all replying at the same time they tell me the dress looks amazing and I'm gorgeous in it.

Looking at Hayden he walks over, wraps his arms around me and says so quietly I think I must be dreaming "you look so beautiful in my color and I can't wait to see what you decide to wear under that prom night!'

Noticing all eyes are still on us girls as we check out ourselves in the mirror we notice our dresses not only compliment our bodies but the colors also compliment one another! As I say we should go in and change before we maybe hit up a restaurant for dinner the boys smirk at one another. Once we all walk out of the dressing rooms after we changed with our selected dresses in tow the boys grab our dresses, smirk and say guess since Mac started it were all paying for our dates dresses before they wink and walk away.

Blushing and giggling the girls stop and say. "The only one with an official date offer was Aria and Mac. So although you want to pay we can still accept if someone asks us right?!" Stopping in their tracks, spinning around with the meanest look on their faces the boys scowl. Winking at Hayden, he slowly walks up to me, grabs me by the waist and says "Ky will you please be my date to the senior prom and the after party at Macs hotel?"

Glancing around I notice the other guys doing and making the same offers as the girls giggle and we all gladly accept their offers. Heading out to drop the dresses into the car before we decide that we all want to go to the Italian restaurant down the street.

Climbing into Hayden's truck. I smile and tell him thank you for inviting me to the prom and the party at Macs. He smiles back and says I was always going to be his date because I'm his girl. When I ask him what that means he winks and says the same thing: "You're my girl Kyra and I'm yours if you'd have me?"

Shocked. I ask him the only thing I can think of "You mean I'm your girlfriend and your my boyfriend?' I look away blushing. Tilting my chin towards him with his thumb hooked under mine he smiles and says "well only if you say yes. I've always considered us as a couple since we were 7 and I never liked any guy who tried to get near you and no girls ever liked the relationship we had so I never had another girl. I want you as my girl Kyra"

Smiling, I lean over the seat kiss his cheek and say well what took you so long silly. He laughs and it's the most beautiful sound in the world. "Our families are going to be so excited! Our friends will already know since I told the guys you'd officially be mine once I seen you in that dress today!" Just them my phone beeps:

BestieTimes (all around group chat)

Hannah- OMG Kyra!!!! Please tell us he did it.

Leah- Way to go Han. What happens if she doesn't know yet!

Kyle- no way he's got her in that truck and hasn't told her yet.

Lukas - right. come on Hay! id Ky your girlfriend now?

Ali- OMG girls we need to switch to our chat to discuss the deal we made earlier

Mac- What deal is that now ladies? ;)

Aria- shut up Mac. you already know since you have to participate. Crap girls I told him since he needed to know I hope it wasn't a secret!

Kyra- no Aria you were right in doing so he'd have to know eventually. lol but as far as everything else. I said YES OF COURSE!

Hayden- actually I think her words were what took you so long lol but I'm interested in knowing about this deal Kyra! ;)
