My stomach drops, and karma starts to whimper at the thought.
“How do we work it when it comes to working? I can’t be at 2 places at once?”
He purges his lips, shrugging his shoulders
“Everything can be emailed to you instead of me, we will have a meeting twice a week to make sure we are on the same page and I’m sure he has an office for you”
I rub my temples
“I’ll think about it”
“That’s all I ask love, just consider it and I and mum can still see you every day. We were going to move to the mountain house when you left anyway. It means we will be walking distance from each other”
A long time ago, dad had bought enough land so our pack could continue growing for hundreds of years but his plan was always that when I moved they could move with me, they will still be on Lycan territory but right next door to the werewolf kingdom. The land is still undeveloped so it’s completely private just the way they like it.
“We will need to arrange for a team to go with you as well”
I frown, I hadn’t had guards since I left school
“You need them, you're going into a new world, we don’t know how the werewolves will react to the kingdoms coming together”
“I can handle myself, dad”
“Oh I know you can, but still you need people on your team while you're there. You have an entire week to find the best of the best”
“Someone who can hold their liquor would help too”
He snorts rolling his eyes
“Seriously you have a problem”
“Nah, no problems, but it’s a necessity if I have to move in with a dumb boy”
He chuckles just as mum comes up the stairs yawning.
“Morning, what’s got you so happy this morning?”
We fill mum in on everything we talked about, and she agreed with dad, making me feel like crap because something bad had happened to Branson and I had no idea.
“Don’t feel sorry for him yet”
Karma snaps still a little salty
“I’m not salty, I’m just cautious”
“I understand that, it’s hard we have hated him for so long”
She sighs looking miserable
“Why did we even start hating him?”
She asks, I chew on my bottom lip and shrug.
“I’m not sure, after the memories were gone we were good for a while but then mum and dad limited his visits, after that he just seemed to stick his nose in where I didn’t want it, seeing him triggered the dreams and we didn’t understand them so we just ended up hating him.”
She nods in silent agreement, I pull out my phone and decide to text him.

‘Fine we will move in, in a week. But you can’t interfere with my work, I need an office and a place for my guards to stay with me. I will have meetings to attend so I’m not going to be a prisoner
I send it holding my breath
“Damn I’m so nervous”
Karma says biting her nails anxiously. I blow out a breath shaking my hands out.
“Let’s just get some work done”
I suggest, sitting at my desk and pulling up today’s emails while I wait for his reply.

‘I was wrong last night to try and take you against your will, you won’t be a prisoner and I already have an office set up for you. Let me know how many guards are coming to stay and I’ll make sure there is room for them.’
Another message pops up

I roll my eyes huffing

‘I did not mean to kiss him, we were talking about the fact that iv never kissed anyone and he just wanted to show me what it was like. Seriously he doesn’t even like me like that. He’s the only friend I have
He starts typing immediately
“Why did you say that? Now he’s going to figure out who he is and kill him”
Karma snaps at me, I frown tapping my desk.

‘It’s funny that you believe him when he said that. I don’t care if he’s your only friend I don’t want him around you
I growl

‘No, you don’t get to tell me who I’m friends with! Bullshit!’
(Branson)
‘I’m not telling you who to be friends with, I’m saying you won’t be friends with him or I’ll kill him. I’m not sharing you’
I slam my phone down on the desk, pissed that he thinks it’s just ok to threaten to kill my only friend. Karma grabs the phone before I have the chance to stop her

‘Fine but when we arrive we want a list of girls you have slept with or kissed so I know who to avoid. Promise to do that and I’ll not bring my friend with me
“Seriously! Now we can’t be friends with joe”
She rolls her eyes at me
“We can’t be friends with him now anyway, not really. One day he will meet his mate and she won’t like us either. We are moving away. We have this week to see him and after that, we will only see him professionally”
The phone beeps so I pull up the message

‘Deal, choose a dress you will be becoming Luna the day you arrive’
I freeze
“Is he serious?”

‘That’s not a funny joke
I say back immediately, tapping my foot on the floor and my hand on the desk.

Dad says coming into the room, I give him the stink eye and shove him out of my head.
“No fair I was having fun, what you guna say back”
He says sitting down and craning his head to see my phone, I growl dropping the barrier to let dad back in. It’s easier than explaining everything to him.
“So I just agree to this? Become Luna when we can’t even have a conversation”
He shrugs
“Yeah why not, it will keep you busy, plus it might make him less grumpy if he has less to do”
I groan rolling my eyes
“How many people am I taking with me?”
I ask as I type up my next message

I already had to wear a dress this week for heartly and she’s the only person that has that power over me. Dad rolls his eyes
“That’s wishful thinking, your mum is already busy picking the perfect gown for you and you can take as many as you want, those willing to move away full-time will be by later and you can choose from them”
