“I don’t know”
“See what’s funny about your answer is I couldn’t feel the thought process behind it, but I can feel your anxiety and hear your heart rate, all of those things mixed prove to me that you are lying and you have a block up in your head”
Her eyes go wide as she tries to yank her hand free
“I don’t know what you're talking about”
“Fine, you don’t want to talk let’s make you suffer”
I commend the nerves in her body to explode in unimaginable pain, I tell her body that it will only stop when she decides to tell the truth.
She gasps, falling to her knees as tears run down her cheeks
“Now when you decide to tell me the truth the pain will leave, if you do not ask the guards to contact me immediately then the pain will return, if you go back on your plan to tell me the truth the pain will return and it will keep on returning until you tell me the truth and in the meantime, I’m taking the tablet and you won’t see jhan until I know everything, alright?”
I ask, her eyes were on me, she couldn’t talk through the pain, she couldn’t even acknowledge it or she would scream.
“Good, I’ll be looking forward to your call”
I tell her walking out and closing the door after me, I turn to the smirking guards
“Did you hear that?”
“I did indeed Luna”
“Good, make sure the next shift knows, I need that information as soon as possible”
“Of course Luna”
He says smiling as he picks his book back up and he continues to read on quietly, I smile at the boys
“Ready”
“Good because your cousins are driving me nuts, they better not be setting up pranks in my house, I shouldn’t have even let them near my house, if they do anything it’s on you”
Branson snaps pocketing his phone
“Chill, Martha Stewart won’t let them get off with anything anyway”
Finn snorts nodding his head
“It’s true, he’s such a t*****e they will probably only target him anyway”
“Now that I’d like to see”
Branson adds with a smile, we head back to our house straight away, as we arrive my heart warms when I hear the laughter of my 2 favourite little boys, Eli and Josiah
“Katyyyyyyyyyyy”
Josiah screams as he runs straight into my arms, I twirl him around with a squeak of excitement
“Little man oh how I've missed you!”
“I missed you too! Mummy said that Branson finally stopped hurting your heart and now you're not sad anymore”
I pout at his excited little face, he was the cutest little thing iv ever met before, he stole my heart the moment I met him,
“Well your mummy got it right, I’m all better now! Especially since your here!”
“So that means you won’t get s’more over’s anymore?”
Branson frowns stepping up
“What’s a s’more over?”
“When you made Katy sad she ate lots of s’mores every night until she fell asleep, my daddy said it’s called s’more over when you feel sick the next day and Katy was always sick”
I grin at him as Branson chuckle, shaking his hair and kissing his head
“You are too cute”
“I am not cute, my parents said I’m the scariest little person they ever met, even scarier than Carter, they said he was a wimp compared to me”
He says proudly as Branson bites his lip grasping his chest with his hands. It was hard not to get drunk on his adorable little attitude.
“Josiah hurry up already!”
Eli squeals from a treehouse that I had never even noticed before
“Ok I’m coming”
“Have fun and I’ll see you soon ok?”
He nods, taking off as soon as I put his little feet on the ground
“He’s like the road runner, it’s adorable really”
Karma says, grinning as she watches him race after Eli, I hear inside and smile when I see Martha Stuart lose his s**t at Cain for breaking something.
“Ahhh she’s here”
Eva screams, Daisy drops her bottle of tequila from the other side of the bar and she squeaks, running around the side as she grabs heartily’s arm and she yanks her towards us and away from Gavin and Desmond.
“What the f**k we are talking”
Gavin snaps at Daisy
“Talk later, the Luna has finally arrived”
She says giggling as she thrusts a bottle of tequila into my hand just as Eva swings her arms around my waist.
“We are so glad you’re finally here! Where is your dress?”
Eva asks
“What’s it like finally living with Branson?”
Daisy adds
“Is it as good as you always thought it would be or better?”
Heartly finishes giddy with excitement, I shrug taking the drink
“It’s awesome, so much better than I ever imagined, harder to but in a good way, the dress is upstairs somewhere I think”
I shrug my shoulders looking at the roof
“I don’t know where the Damn dress is”
I say downing some of the drink
“It’s up here, come on and I’ll get you ready”
Popa Scott calls from upstairs, I groan handing the drink back as I match up the stairs and into my bedroom.
——-
“I can not remember it being this tight”
I groan to pops as he tightens the corset t*****e device that is my dress
“It wasn't, it fits perfectly, you must have put on weight”
I gasp turning around and glaring at him
“Are you saying I'm fat?”
He snorts shaking his head and he turns me back to where I was standing in the first place
“No, I'm not saying that, I'm saying finally being able to eat normally has given you a healthier body. Come on, you need the weight, you have done nothing but fail over the years. It's a good thing”
“Still stings to hear it out loud”
I snap back
“Yeah call him fat back and see how he likes it”
Karma adds childishly making me smile. She had been awol since yesterday, too exhausted to do anything
“I missed you, sis, you ok?”
“Yeah just tired, I feel drained”
I nod agreeing with her, I felt like s**t too but that could also be because I've been poked and prodded all day, from getting my hair and makeup done, getting waxed and sitting for an agonisingly long period of time just to get my nails done.
“Finally, there you go it's perfect”
Pops tells me, I wiggle uncomfortably, turning to look at myself in the mirror. I had to admit I did look good, I looked amazing. All the work had paid off because I don't remember ever looking this good before.
From my head to my toes I looked so polished and perfect, I still looked like me but a way hotter version. I had to give it to Pop, he did well.
As I look myself over I'm a little shocked, the dress itself was a work of art, cut from heavyweight lustrous stretch satin fabric in a flattering toffee tone. The bodice itself is fully boned and fused to an under corset that cinches in the torso and waist for that perfect silhouette that I could not get in any dress but this one.
It's boned in every direction for the most comfortable cinching ever and cut into a balconette shape, flattering my small bust, the straps were small and thin yet efficient in holding everything in place.
The top layer has a beautiful draped neckline that adds to the romantic feeling of the dress. The skirt is fully lined with a beautiful seam-free finish, the fabric gathers up at the hip allowing the dress to tease the world with just a flash of thigh. On my feet, I wore nude-heeled sandals with a simple strip right across the pad of my foot.
Between the height of the heels and the size of the thigh split it gives the allusion I'm taller than I am and the corset makes me look a whole lot more curvy and sexy than usual. My hair was simple, short bobbed and curly, and my makeup was minimal with just a little mascara and some stain on my lips. A light contour made my cheeks pop, I was me but a very upscaled version of me.
Someone clearing their throat behind me makes me jump, I turn smiling when I see dad. Mum was busy getting ready herself so Pop stepped in to help me get dressed. Usually, that would be weird but Pop was a pro at dressing us by now. Usually, nana dressed us for him but she too was busy getting ready.
