Chapter 1
Lilian:
My name is Lilian. I am an ordinary Omega, whereas this man on top of me, thrusting his hips hard against my body, is none other than the strongest Alpha of the werewolves—Arthur.
"F-Faster… give me more!"
"Ah! You're amazing!"
…
I hated having to moan and beg for pleasure, but I had no choice but to put up an act in front of this man.
After all, I had signed a three-year agreement with him, selling myself to him in exchange for money.
With that money, I will finally be able to pay off my father's huge debt and bring my family back from dire straits.
I knew it was nothing to be proud of, and it was debasing to sell my body for money, but what else could I do?
Other than a decent-looking body, I had nothing else.
I was just an Omega, a worthless Omega who could do nothing other than bear children.
I tried hard to clear my thoughts, forcing myself to moan and scream in pleasure amidst the pain, but Arthur remained completely silent, not even panting from the rigorous motions.
As expected of the current Wolf King, he remained composed, almost apathetic if not for his erection, despite all my efforts to seduce him with my faux-lust.
He was so composed that it made me nervous.
I had never seen those silver eyes looking flustered or even showing any unnecessary emotions. To him, the act of making love was no different than breathing, a method of fulfilling a biological need.
It made me wonder, was there any woman that could actually make him lose his composure? Maybe it was that woman that he would be getting engaged to?
As I let my mind wander, Arthur suddenly increased the pace and intensity, and I was unwittingly brought to my peak.
The sudden onset of pleasure felt suffocating. My listless eyes rolled to the back of my head as my jaw slackened, gasping hard for air.
"Get up. It's time for you to leave."
I was still coming down from my climax, but Arthur was no longer welcoming my presence. His voice was ice cold without the slightest delicacy or emotion.
What a cold and heartless man he was.
I readjusted my breathing and looked over to see Arthur standing by the bed, facing away from me.
The sun-kissed skin on his still-unclothed body almost glistened under the dim lamplight, shadows highlighting the well-trained muscles on his broad back, narrow waist, and sculpted hips. Even his cool features were stunning.
Even though I felt nothing for this man, I had to admit that in terms of appearance, this man's near-flawless beauty was as bewitching as le génie du mal.
Unfortunately, his perfection had little to do with me.
Turning away, I rolled my eyes and sat up, putting on a coquettish act with my body still bare like his. "You're always so mean, honey, brushing me off as soon as you're done using me."
Since I was paid to accompany him in bed, I felt that I should uphold my professionalism as, reluctantly, a paid w***e and that I should at least try and satisfy my client with active flirting to sell the fiction. Although, everything I did seemed to be in vain when it came to him.
Arthur had already pulled a black bathrobe over himself, and when he heard my flirtatious teasing, I saw him pause for a moment before chastising me in a threatening tone. "Know your place. You have no right to call me that."
"Very well, my dear... King." See? It was useless after all.
I had already lost count of how many times I have tried and failed, but sometimes, I just could not help but pull the lion's tail.
Maybe this was my way of trying to scrape up whatever bit of dignity I had left.
Even though most of it was an act, I would still fall into an uncontrollable state of ecstasy every time I climaxed, which made me look like a failure in comparison to the blasé man I was contractually obligated to please.
I hated myself for not being able to keep my cool, and even more than that, I hated that debauched pervert who was so weak to pleasure.
Yes, I was that pervert. I, who could not control my expressions or keep my breathing steady during s*x.
Noticing Arthur's gaze turning to me, I quickly put on a perfect smile.
“Oh, Lilian, sweetie, can’t you change that stupid habit of yours and stop overthinking everything? Whatever you did, the most important thing is to never get distracted when you’re around this man.” That was what I told myself.
"You don't have to come anymore. I'm getting engaged soon, so you better watch your mouth. I don't want my Luna catching wind of any unsavory rumors." As he said that, Arthur pulled a card out of his pocket and tossed it to the bed right in front of me like tossing change to a beggar. "That's the money as promised in the contract. Now, we have nothing more to do with each other."
I scrambled to pick up the card and brought it to my lips, kissing it happily before looking up at him, smirking. "Let me wish you an early happy engagement, then. Don't worry, not a single word will be coming out of these lips."
Thank God, our damned agreement was finally over. Now, I never have to see this haughty bastard ever again.
Of course, I could never say it out loud, neither in front of him nor in front of anyone, frankly, but all the better. That humiliating past should just be buried deep in my memories, never to be brought up again.
Oh, dear God, I praise you from the bottom of my heart!
Arthur was gone, and I could only hope to bid good riddance to both him and this life devoid of dignity.
When I was left alone in the room, I gripped the card hard in my hands until my fingers trembled and tears poured out.
Three years... I finally made it through that hell.
No longer was I the obedient bed warmer at that man's beck and call, to be used and discarded as he pleased. No longer did I have to force myself to put on an act to please him and condemn myself to such humiliation while hiding behind my parents' backs.
From this moment on, I was liberated, free, and ready for a new life ahead of me.
