Chapter4

1065 Words
A pale white man approached Brandon. "What are you doing? Don't you have an appointment with the client? Then who is this woman?" The man looked at Nora with a strange look. "I canceled the meeting. Where's the car?" "Come with me." Nora and Brandon followed the man. Nora kept her head down. She was afraid that Eliza was still waiting for her. They entered a luxury car parked near the lobby. The car drove in Brandon's direction. The man was still demanding Brandon's answer. "Tell me, what is your reason for this matter? Then, who is that woman? She looks chaotic and very messy." "Andy, I can't explain much. I'm also confused by this incident. Today was very strange. She suddenly came to my room, and Emma knew I was there too. I don't know who told her where I was." "You can't get involved in any case, Brandon. Business matters will keep the media in the spotlight. You could end up in the headlines again if you're not careful." "We'll talk about it after we take Nora to the hospital." Andy looked at Nora with raised eyebrows through the windshield. She didn't seem to like Nora. But she held back because Brandon had already decided to help. Soon, they arrived at the hospital. Nora didn't care about her appearance anymore; she ran to her mother's treatment room. Brandon and Andy followed behind her. They finally stopped and followed Nora, who entered a room. Nora's tears broke out when she saw Nancy lying on oxygen. Nora held her mother's cold hand. It looked like Nancy was unconscious. "Wake up, mom. I'm sorry I'm late!" Nora cried. Brandon looked at Nancy's condition. He remembered how he cried for his late mother when he had to send her off to her final resting place. He whispered to Andy. "Find a good hospital and doctor. Send Nora's mother there. Give her the best care." Andy nodded and left the room. He called his acquaintance, wanting to do Brandon's bidding immediately. "Relax, your mom will get the best care." Nora looked at Brandon. "Please forgive me for disturbing you." "No, I know how it feels. I just wanted to help you one more time." Nora nodded and hugged Nancy again. Then, a nurse came and explained that Nancy was actually fine. But suddenly, she had a seizure. Nancy became short of breath and screamed. So, they had to give her a sedative. At this point, Nancy was actually asleep. Brandon decided to provide the best care outside the hospital. Not only for Nancy's health, but also for the safety of Nancy and Nora. After hearing the explanation from the nurse, Andy quickly moved Nancy and Nora, as instructed. Andy and Brandon are now in the car. Nora was safe, according to Brandon. He would cover Nora and Nancy's living expenses during the treatment period. "You're too kind, Brandon. You're not that kind of person. What made you do it?" Andy felt suspicious. He knew Brandon was a cold person and sometimes very cruel. A smile appeared on Brandon's lips. "Is my bad image gone that you are surprised to see me being such a good person? Of course, I was touched by the mother-daughter relationship. You know, I was someone who respected my mother a lot, but my mother lost her life when I wasn't around. I know that pain. I saw that pain in Nora's eyes. I'm just following my heart now." Andy laughed this time. He looked into Brandon's eyes and probed. "There has to be something else, right?" Brandon nodded. He rubbed his chin. "At first glance, I know that she is an innocent woman. After thinking for a while, I can use her as a tool to get away from Emma. It might be a crazy idea, but I don't want to waste time picking her out. You just contacted the pimp you asked to send a woman to me. Tell her that I'm not interested in the women she sends." "I'll do it. But why is Nora suddenly there?" This time, it was Brandon who laughed. He remembered the fear on Nora's innocent face. "Did God send her to me? I don't know. She was running away from someone named Eliza. She seems to have been framed. But I don't care. I want to settle all this. I have to get the inheritance rights and control all the companies. That way, I won't have to obey that man's wishes anymore." Andy smiled slightly. "You've fought very hard. I will support you in getting your rights as the sole heir." "Yes, you should. Because if you fail, I'll fire you!" Andy and Brandon laughed together. They knew each other's characters, and Andy was the best friend who knew what Brandon had planned for his life. "Take me to my mom's grave. I want to tell her about the progress of my plans. Then, after that, I'll meet Vanessa. She has to listen to this tale. I miss her. She must not miss anything about today's story." *** Meanwhile, in a hospital room, Eliza, who was being treated for a wound on her forehead, was seen slamming her cell phone. She looked at the photo sent by her men. She couldn't stand knowing that someone had saved Nora. James was lying on the floor with wounds on his face. He had been beaten up because Nora had managed to escape, and when James went to get Nancy to the hospital to threaten Nora, he was too late. "James, you insolent bastard! Look at your daughter's behavior! I won't stay silent!" "You all need to find out who that man is. Find Nora alive. Make sure she's still a virgin. I have to find her before my customers get angry and finish me off. Got it!" Eliza snapped at the five men who were standing beside her. The five men included the two who had kidnapped Nora in the alley. They replied in unison, "Yes, ma'am!" Then, they hurriedly left the room without forgetting to drag James with them. Eliza was visibly upset. She kept getting scared because her customer, who wanted Nora so badly, was a cruel person. She might be tortured and killed if she couldn't deliver Nora according to the schedule that she deliberately pushed back with the excuse that Nora was sick.
