Bloodbath

(Jousett) It’s been two weeks since I started at this school. The gym teacher came back but Mr. Kyle stuck around. The murmurs and people looking at me weirdly had finally stopped, and it’s a good thing because it was getting old. I am now in my last period, which is History. For this I would need to go to the library after school. I took out my phone and texted my mom that I would be going to the library after school to write an essay for history, before I put my phone away. After taking notes, the bell rang and I put my things away. I got up being the last out of class and began walking out when I saw Mr. Kyle. He walked next to me. “Heading home?” he asked. “No, I’m heading to the library. I have an essay I need to do, and it’s due tomorrow,” I said truthfully. “Want me to give you a ride? I’m heading that way any ways” he said. “Sure. Thank you,” I smiled. “No problem,” he smiled back, and I felt my heart skip a beat. He opened the door for me and I got in. “Thank you. Who said chivalry was dead?” I said, making him chuckle. “Not me,” he said, and I grinned. He jogged around to the driver’s side and got in. He revved his car and pulled out of the parking lot. “Jousett, since you’re busy today, would you join me tomorrow for dinner?” he asked. “Yes, I would like that,” I smiled and he nodded. “Good. I will pick you up around six,” he said. “Sounds good,” I said. “How was your day at school today?” he asked. “Same s**t different day,” I admitted, making him laugh. His laugh was deep, rich, and it sent a delicious shiver down my body. “I like your laugh. You should laugh more often,” I said with a blush, making him chuckle. “And you look very cute when you blush,” he said, making me blush even more. Much to my dislike, he pulled up to the library. “I’ll be around here, still. If you want, you can call me when you get out, and I’ll take you home,” he said, and I nodded in agreement, giving him my phone. He put in his number and he put in his number and texted himself from my phone. I put my phone away and got out of the car. “Thanks for the ride. I’ll call you later” I said and he nods. He waited until I was inside before he left. And I start my essay on Hitler and the Nazis. I took a table and sat down. I began to research books and computers and I began to write about Hitler. Half way through my essay, my hand stopped. I got a real bad feeling. I felt my chest tightened. I grabbed my chest as my eyes widened. I had never had such a feeling like this before. I took out my phone and called Mr. Kyle. On the third ring he answered. "Hey, are you ready?" he asked. "Are you okay? Are you hurt at all?" The questions came out rushed and I knew he could hear the panic in my voice. "I'm okay. I was just getting gas. What's wrong?" he asked. "I have this bad feeling. Can you come get me?" I asked. "Yes, I'll be there in five minutes," he said. I nodded but remembered he couldn't see me. "Okay, I'll be outside." I hung up and quickly packed my stuff and headed outside just as he was pulling up. I got in his car, still rubbing my chest. "Please take me to my house," I said. He could see my hands were trembling. I took out my phone and called mom, but she didn't answer. I called her again, but nothing. "She's probably cleaning the kitchen with music on," Kyle said, and I nodded. "Yeah, she probably is," I said and dialed dad's number. Again, it rang until it went to voicemail. I don't know if Kyle noticed my panic, but he drove faster. When we got to my house, I found it odd that the lights in the whole house were on. I jumped out of the car and Kyle was by my side in a blink of an eye. His body went ridit and he grabbed my hand. I could smell the scent of iron. It was sweet, yet familiar. "I'll go in first," Kyle said, but I couldn't wait. I ran inside pushing the door open. I could tell there was a struggle in the house and that nasty smell I had caught before here and at school was incredibly strong inside the house. "Mom? Dad? I called as I looked around, but there was nothing until I walked into the kitchen. A blood curling scream left my lips. It looked like a bloodbath. Blood was splattered all over the walls, floor and kitchen counters. I dropped to my knees cradling my parents' lifeless bodies. Kyle came running in. Every sense in my body was on extremely high alert. Another scream left my lips as Kyle walked closer, his eyes widened when he looked at me. Kyle gently pulled me away. "We need to call the cops," he said as he pulled me into a hug. I clung to him like he was my lifeline and right now he wasn't just my lifeline but my anchor for my sanity. * * *
