Rise Above

Chapter 16

           Ellie's POV

It's the morning of the day I turn my self over but as I sit in my room I cant help but to think that someway this is going to be the first of many battles thats yet to come for me and Cullen. I get out of bed and walk into the bathroom to take a hot shower to wash all the stress away.

Once I am done I walk out of the bathroom and see my mate sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his palms. "Babe" I say as I walk up him making sure he is ok. "I dont know what I will do if something goes wrong and you and our pup get hurt" Cullen says as he looks up at me with tears in his eyes.

"Hey it will be ok Cari is a strong powerful witch they wont be able to hurt me or our pup" I say as I kneel down infront of him. "Promise me you will be back soon please" He says trying so hard to hold his tears back.

"Babe I will be back before you know it" I say as I kiss him softly before getting up and walking to the dresser and grabbing my underwear. The whole time I am getting dressed I havent noticed that Cullen left the room till I walk out of the closet to the bedroom.

I sniff the air to follow the scent of my mate and it stops at his office where I can hear him and someone talking. I know its not nice to ease drop but I cant help my self as I use my wolf hearing to see  what is being said. 

"I need to know if the spells will fully work in protecting her and the pup'' Cullen says. "Yes Cullen they will work she will be fine" says the female voice I know its Cari and Cullen having a meeting making sure I am safe. "This better work witch or you will die if anything happens to either of them" Cullen says with a little anger in his voice.

I walk into his office and wrap my arms around Cullens neck and kiss him like my life depended on it. "We need to start the spells we dont have much more time till the rouges get into the field" Cari says as I pull my lips away from my mate. I turn around and look at Cari " Ok lets get this done with'' I say as we all walk out of the room and head to the basement.

That is where Cullen and Cari thought it would be safe where no one could see or know what was going on. Only a few pack members that we know to be loyal knew about what was happening.

After the spells where done me and Cari walk to the field I made Cullen stay behind because I didnt want him getting hurt being there without his pack. As we reached the field Cari stood beside me "I made it so you can mindlink me and Cullen" I hear her say in my head and I turn and look at her in amazement.

Just as I looked at her a group of wolves came out from the woods. A few transformed back into their human form I looked away so they can dress. As the walked closer I could smell the rot coming from them and I scrunched up my nose.

"Ah Luna Ellie its a pleasure to finally to meet you" one of the men walking towards me says. "Are you the one wanting me" I ask not wanting to be any where near them. "No Luna but our Alpha does I am his beta Jake" He says as he inches a little closer. "Why didnt your Alpha come if he is the one that wants me" I say as I try to not to throw up from the foul oder coming from them.

"He had important things to tend to before your arrival" Jake says. "Now that you are willingly coming with us you dont need your little witch here anymore" He says with his eyes turning black. But before he got the chance to attack her she disappeared and I let out a breathe I didnt know I was holding.

"Thank you for getting to safety before they could hurt you" I mind linked Cari. "Luna get on my back we have a long trip ahead of us" Jake says and then transforms into his big greyish looking wolf. I climb on his back and we start to the trip.

I took us the rest of the day and most of the night to get to their pack house. When we stopped I looked around and saw what looked like a run down castle on the outside. I climb off Jakes back and look around it looks horrible. "Luna I am to take you to your chamber" Jake says back in human form and dressed.

I walked behind him up the stairs "When will I get to meet your Alpha" I ask as we reach the door. "Be patient Luna you will meet in time its not like you two dont already know each other" he says as he chuckles and pushes the door open.

Walking into the stairs I follow him all the way to the third floor and he makes a right and I look around to see if I can notice anything that will tell me who the Alpha is. But nothing finally we reach a set of doors at the end of the hall. Jake opens the doors ''Here you are Luna" He says and slightly pushes me in the room.

"A little Advice before I leave dont try to run the place is covered with rouges and if anyone sees you out they might try to kill you'' Jake says as he closes the door. I walk over to the bed and lay down tomorrow I must come up with a plan to destroy this pack and get back home to my mate.

The next morning I woke up to someone staring at me as I slowly open my eyes I start to see a face a face I know all to well a face I thought to be dead.

"Z- Z-Zane" I say with shock.
