^Loras point of view"
"My name is Rin and I am really happy to see that I've managed to save you"
the stranger said looking directly into Lora's eyes.
For Lora, this name was quite strange since she never heard of anyone being called like that, but at the same time, she felt a bit more at ease since this stranger introduced herself.
"My name is Lora, and thank you for what you did back in the village," she said still feeling a bit of fear inside of her.
The fire is now burning quite well and Rin sat down next to it and just looked at it.
"How did you find my camp?" Lora asked looking at him.
Rim seemed to be completely in a different dimension just staring at the fire and then he looked at Lora, but his eyes were a bit different.
"I saw the directions where you ran, and I just followed you in a way I suppose," he said and turned back to fire.
The sudden change in Rins behavior was something that bugged Lora since what looked like a friendly young man turned into a dark and mysterious person.
"Why did you save me?" she asked, she couldn't believe that someone would do that for no reason at all and she wanted to know his reason no matter what.
"I suppose, I was just in the right place at the right time" he mumbled and then continued with a bit calmer tone in his voice.
"There are not that many of us alive, and I still think that we as humans can survive, for that every person is important, no matter how small or big he is". Rin said and for Lora, it seemed that his nature changed once again.
Then he stood up and looked at Lora,
"I have some deer meat left from yesterday that we could cook and eat if you are hungry"
Lora couldn't believe what she heard, meat was a rare treat for her since her hunting skills weren't even that good, and only once in a while, her traps brought her food.
"I would like that," Lora said feeling her mouth juicing up just from the thought of deer meat.
Rin took his backpack and took out a book that had some meat inside.
Lora thought that she should help since this was her camp in the first place, and this stranger that she just met did not know where she had her cooking accessories placed.
So she went and picked up metal skewers that she had found one day on her trip to the village for water.
"These should work," she said while giving them to Rin, that was a good opportunity for her to get bit more details of his face. Rin looked a bit older than her, but what got her attention the most was his eyes, they were both green and brown, and at moments it looked like they changed their colors but she thought that must just be her mind playing tricks with her.
"Thank you, these will be perfect to cook meat," Rin said and he skewed the meat on them.
Lora was still looking at Rin with an interesting look in her eyes, it's been so long since she saw another human, even more so talked to one. She even had a thought about her liking him if the world was still as it used to be, but that thought was soon interrupted by the smell of cooking meat.
Lora sat down by the fire couple of meters away from Rin and just looked at him carefully taking care of meat so it wouldn't burn.
After what looked like an eternity for Lora the meat was done. She took out a couple of plates and forks and gave them to Rin, who removed the meat from the skewers and gave one plate to Lora.
"Enjoy your meal," he said giving her a slight smile.
"Thank you," Lora said quickly, and she took a bite of meat that was on her plate, then another one and then one more, soon her plate was clean and she was so happy on the side, she wanted to eat something more than vegetables and berries but she had no luck with hunting for past few months, so this deer stake was pure bliss for her.
"You seemed to be quite hungry," Rin said with an awkward smile on his face
"No no, it's not that," Lora said feeling her face getting warm, she was quite surprised by that 'Am I blushing' she thought, and then she noticed Rin staring at her and she felt her cheeks lit up.
"It's been quite long since I've eaten any meat, it this one quite tasty," she said with her face still burning
"I am not that good at hunting, so I don't eat that much meat"
"What do you catch here?" Rin asked
"Mostly rabbits, and raccoons sometimes, but their meat tastes weird," she said remembering the last time she ate raccoon meat.
"I could teach you how to set up traps for rabbits if you want," Rin said after finishing his meal.
Lora thought that a chance to learn how to catch more rabbits would be amazing so she agreed.
"That would be amazing, thank you"
Rin looked at Lora
"Well, then we could do that tomorrow, I am feeling tired and I will try to get some sleep," Rin said, and he took out what looked like a sleeping bad.
Just then Lora noticed that it's already getting dark.
"Thank you again for the meal, and good night," she said, and she stood up and went into her shelter.
She closed the entrance with a wooden door and lay down on her so-called bed.
This day was something that she didn't imagine when she woke up.
"I wonder what will tomorrow bring," she said to herself quietly.
