As the days passed by, Kani entered into the fourth standard. During that time, the old Principal left the school by this time and the school was quite liberal. Most of the students started speaking in Tamil from thereon.
It was a very special period in Kani's lifetime, where he met his favorite teacher named Ms. Nivetha. She is more special because she likes the child very much and she also supported his studies financially by paying his school tuition fees and by buying him school uniforms, etc. She likes his silence nature in the class and she also gifted him a 'Cello Nice Pen' as a token of love and affection. She was a well-wisher for the boy, who aspired for the well-being of the boy in his future life. Kani got his new friends, Rooban and Harish during this period.
The trio was often seemed to travel together everywhere in the campus. At that time, there used to be great action sequences that would place inside the class within the short span of 10 minutes interval time. The whole class used to split up into 2 teams and ferociously, they would attack the opponent team. One day as the fight was on-going, a random guy attacked Kani's friend Rooban. To rescue his friend, Kani had a different plan. He instantly climbed over the table and gave a kick to that random guy by flying from a table like that of spider man. And suddenly, when the teacher entered the class, everyone would take a seat wherever they find. But their shirts and trousers always had an impression of footmarks, which was got from shoes during the due course of the fight all the time. Kani was always helpful to his friends and he never failed to display his love for his friends whenever the time arrives to show them to the eternal world.
Kani used to spend his lunchtime with his best friends at that time, named, Rooban and Harish. By that time, the school had another new Principal named Mr. Aadhi Narayanan. He gave us instructions in the assembly time to the students that not to speak in Tamil thereafter, at any circumstances inside the school campus. On the same day, lunch was going on and Kani was sitting with his friends Rooban and Harish as usual. Kani was speaking in Tamil at that time. In the meanwhile, the Principal noticed Kani. But Kani was not bothered as he never knew that he standing behind him. He kept on speaking in Tamil. His friends tried to give a warning but it didn't work in any way. Kani even said in Tamil, "who the hell is standing behind me?", and gave slight rotation toward his back. After seeing the Principal standing back from him, he was speechless. The Principal then gave a gentle slap at the Kani's back and went off. From that day onwards, Kani was very cautious before speaking to anyone in Tamil.
During the games period, Kani used to play cricket most of the time. Those times as most of them are short, they used to bowl 'short pitch deliveries' for the batsmen. And it didn't work to pick Kani's wicket because he was tall but he goes to the pitch of the ball and smashes the ball wherever he wants to. Such a quality player he was even at a younger age.
The swimming period was also there for them, right from Class III till Class IX. Kani was quite lazy to bring his swimming dress to the school. Most of the time, he used to forget to bring the swimming dress for the swimming period. The students used to get assembled in a row and move in a line till the swimming pool arrived. There in the swimming classes, after exercises were done, they used to take a shower bath. After that, the students get into the swimming pool one by one. They were initially taught swimming with swimming pads tied around their body's chest. The level of the water will be up to their chest at one side and it keeps increasing as they move on to the other side. They used to go for several laps inside the water, during the swimming hours. They even used to do free style, butterfly stroke, forward stroke and backward stroke, in addition to that. Also, after the class gets over, they take a shower bath. The swimming period was like a boon for them.
Also, they had Yoga and Karate classes apart from this. The Yoga classes helped them to focus their mind in a streamlined way, while, the Karate classes helped them to gain a lot more practical knowledge on self-defense and other skills that are essential for their day-to-day life. The budding child started growing from there.
