NIGHTMARE

544 Words
After few minutes, Haiden felt tired so he told his grandma that he'll be resting. "Grandma, I'm going to sleep." His grandma just nodded at him and he immediately went to his room to take a rest. He laid on his bed and close his eyes. Few minutes of inactivity, he then got to sleep. Tick tock, tick-tock. Tick tock, tick-tock. Tick, tock... The neighborhood was so silent and just the tick of the clock could be heard. Haiden suddenly felt that the room got hot. He opened his eyes and stood up from his bed. He then noticed that the place was too silent and the clock stopped moving. He went to find his grandma to ask for new batteries to replace his clock. He went to his grandma's room but she wasn't there. He went to the kitchen and other rooms of the house but still, the grandma was nowhere to be found. Haiden heard a scratching of the wall from his room, and that the alarm clock was a smash. He immediately rushed to the area and seen the walls on his room with claw marks, the alarm clock he placed on his bed was shattered, and odd vibes coming from his now messy room. He roams his sight but there was no one in the room. The lights went out. Thud! Thud! Thud! He was frightened and got the same chills similar to the monster that chased after him. He felt its gaze fixated on him once again. He didn't dare to move on his spot and was closing his eyes. Suddenly the marching stomps stopped. The entity was behind his back again. "Haiden sweetie?" The entity behind him says. The voice was from his grandma but didn't dare to take a peek to confirm since he was too afraid considering that he was locked in his room, and without light. The entity then tapped his back with a warm and gentle touch, he felt that it was from his grandma. "Sweetie?" He heard again. He braved himself and ideally thought that it must be his grandma and that the lights went out so she rushed towards her cause that was what his grandma does usually does when the lights were out. He opened his eyes, and with lively voice and vibes, he turned around while saying, "Grandma, I'm scared," Just when he met the entity's gaze. He was frozen in terror seeing the one-eyed, demon creature with its creepy smile directly at him. He felt that his heart was about to go out and he breathed heavily. The creature widens its mouth and was above to devour him entirely. "Ahhhhhh!" He screamed. Suddenly he felt that someone slapped his face gently. He got opened his eyes and got back to reality. "It was just a dreame sweetie," his grandma comforted him, trying to calm Haiden. Haiden was shivering with fear, seeing the dream much realistic than any other dream and nightmare he had. He looks above the wall to see look for his clock but there was none. He roams his sight while her grandma hugged her to calm her throughout the surroundings. He was horrified by seeing the smashed pieces of his clock laid on his room's floor.
