Chapter Nine Never easy Jessica sat on the edge of the bed as he left her. She was exhausted. A part of her wanted to simply curl up and fall asleep immediately. But she was also thirsty, and she knew that she needed to get something to drink. The white porcelain bowl of the toilet loomed ominously on the other side of the room. Slipping off the bed, she padded softly across the room to where it awaited her, the chain slithering across the floor as it played out behind her. As she approached it, she felt the need to pee growing in her bladder as well, but she would wait for that until after she had determined whether she would drink from it. Reaching the toilet, Jessica sank slowly down onto her knees as she looked into the bowl. She sat back on her heels and felt the press of the cuff
