Cacus A fire-respiration creature Hercules (see Heracles) encountered throughout his Tenth Labor. Classical sources are Livy’s History (1.7.Four–15), Ovid’s Fasti (1.543–582, five.643– 652), and Virgil’s Aeneid (8.190ff).
