Adrian’s POV
I had gone around the corner to fetch the doctor to make sure Skyler was feeling alright when a strange feeling overcame me. Panic started to flood my senses. Something is wrong. I could feel it deep in my bones. I couldn’t feel her at the back of my mind like I usually did. I couldn’t shake it.
Panic.
It was all I could feel. I started running like my life depended on it back to my mate’s room. I couldn’t be bothered to patiently open the door, so I broke it off its hinges. As I glanced around the room, my mate was nowhere in sight. The curtains were blowing uncontrollably. I strode up to the window that had been closed before I left was now wide open.
Panic.
