Chapter 44

2206 Words

A dark aura filled the atmosphere around me, but I was still not afraid. There was something oddly comforting about this man. He reeked of danger. Anyone with eyes could tell he was dangerous, but I still wasn’t threatened. I could feel a faint connection between him and I, but the look on his face made it clear that he did not feel the same. I could feel my wolves confusion towards this unfamiliar man. His face was unfamiliar, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I could trust him.     He stood across the boundary looking down at us from his towering frame. I could sense he was a force to be reckoned with and someone that would be good to have on our side when the devil comes knocking on our door. I hoped he was here to offer his help, but I knew vampires were a selfish and loyal clan.
