Adrian’s POV
When Skyler had asked me to lay with her on the hospital bed, I was overjoyed. Two days without her felt like an eternity. I couldn’t even begin to understand how she made it from where she was. I would have gone insane without her for so long. I was already acting erratic after two days of not having her with me. I missed her smile, and the powerful woman that I got to call mine. Having her around me, shining her light wherever she went. The way her skin would glow with every word she spoke. When she was at peace, her eyes would twinkle in the light. It was all the little things that I had taken for granted that I missed the most.
This is why I couldn’t hesitate jumping right in with her. These were the moments that I most enjoyed.
