Skyler’s POV
Adrian had been down for ten minutes already. Every second that passed was absolute torture. The agonizing pain that came along with it was slowly consuming me as the time passed. I couldn’t help but feel guilty at what I had just done. It was a lot easier to agree when I didn’t know what the process consisted of.
As his head laid on the pillow, his expressions were relaxed which was a good thing. If any trouble had arisen, I’d be able to know by his expressions. His furrowed brow would have been the first indication of danger, or, worst case scenario, blood would have started to drip down his nose.
