Skyler’s POV
My body ached from where Adrian had made love to me from the night before. With every breath to every stroke I could feel just how much he had missed me these past two days, and I am sure he could feel how much I had longed for him. The bond between us was radiating so many different emotions, and I had missed every second of it.
Everything about him had changed. The way he carried himself was different than before. I could tell he had this new confidence radiating off of him, and I knew it was because he was finally complete. The mere remembrance had pained my heart. I had been so selfish to not realize something was wrong with him to begin with. It reminded me how I had failed, but there was nothing I could do about our past. I had to focus for our future.
