CHAPTER FIFTEENMargaret Thackrey Several weeks passed before a reply to her ad came in the mail. But one morning Margaret went to her large mailbox, fifty yards down the drive at the point where it met the road, and found inside several letters. Not one was from a publisher, and that was a refreshing change. Her ad must be bearing fruit! The first was handwritten in that strange script the younger generations substitute for cursive writing.
