Chapter Three - The Switch

"I'm getting a drink. Want one?" I don't wait for Stefan to answer as I walk away, trying to avoid Enzo. I'm almost scared to check if he's following me. But I do. And he is. I go to the bar, asking for a water. The man looks me up and down before nodding. I hear Enzo's voice next to my ear, making me flush. "So, you like Stefan?" "It's none of your business, but so far, yeah, I do." I turn, looking at his face that rests inches away from mine. "You'd like me more." Enzo huskily replied as he leaned on the bar, his face remaining close to mine. I scoff. "I highly doubt that. You've been nothing but rude to me." I say, scowling at him. Enzo slightly furrows his brows, frowning a little. "I wasn't trying to be. I'm sorry." "Then why were you?" I ask, watching as the bartender served a water and a straw. "I was a little discombobulated. You bumped into me, you look stunning, and I was at a loss for words." I moved to look at him, his eyes longing in a way I've never seen. "Please, excuse my behavior and dance with me." "I can't. I can't just abandon Stefan-" Enzo softly places his hand on my chin to turn it, leaving me wordless. I see Stefan dancing with another girl already, their bodies grinding and his smile as wide as ever. I scoff. I know we just met... but damn. "I stand corrected. He seems more than happy without me." "Exactly. Someone like him doesn't deserve someone like you." Enzo whispers as he moves closer, his breath tickling my ear. I look at him, enchanted and enthralled. I can't shake the feeling of him, of his energy and beautiful face. His perfectly sculpted nose and jaw, his mouth that had me looking at him like I was starving. I suddenly leaned in, pressing my lips against his for a moment before realizing what I'd done. I pulled away just as fast, shaking my head in surprise. His eyes were wide in surprise. "I'm sorry." I mutter, turning around and going to the exit of the VIP lounge. I had to get out of here. There had to be somewhere private, right? I kept walking although I heard Enzo call my name. I walked past the line of people waiting to get in, across the hall to where the other staircase led and into a private ballroom. It was empty. There was no one around... I leaned against the wall, trying to compose myself. Why did I peck him so suddenly? How could I kiss him in front of everyone? Surely, he must be so mortified to be seen kissing me, let alone me kissing him suddenly. I heard the door open and tensed, standing straight and looking to who could've followed me. Enzo stood at the doors, closing one behind him and walking toward me. I shake my head, flushing up at the sight of him as he gets closer to me. "Enzo, I-" He closes the gap by grasping my face with both hands. I gasp, his hands pulling me to him as his lips crash onto mine. I close my eyes, moaning as he starts kissing me in a frenzy. I kiss him back, my hands going to his body and clinging onto him closer. His tongue makes me whimper, my body on fire and my core aching suddenly. I held him closer, going to bite his lip with a coy smile. Enzo practically let out a growl, pressing me up against a wall and making me gasp again as he lifted one of my legs around his hip. I try to speak but it comes out in a moan. "Enzo." He keeps kissing me, shutting me up. I try again, "Enzo, I-" He moves, instead kissing down my jaw. I tense, biting my lip at the feeling and shivering. "Enzo...." "Tori. God, I love your name. I love the way you say my name. I love your body..." "Enzo." I moan it again, his kisses reaching my neck and making me grip at his clothes. My hips hump forward. "Fuck." "Eager for something?" Enzo pulls away, looking down at me with lust and longing. I shake my head, looking down as I'm suddenly aware of his body and his erection against my core. I control myself enough to not grind against him. "Maybe. Maybe not." I say coyly. I huff, realizing what I'm doing and with who. "I... I don't want to have s*x yet." Enzo smiles, his hand going to caress my cheek. "It's okay. I wouldn't want our first time here, anyways." That makes me smile. He wants to see me another time... at least, I hope. I shake my head, "No. I meant... I mean, yes. But... I do want you. Just not here." Enzo grinned. He leaned in to kiss me when the door opened. We both turned, my leg still over his waist as Stefan glared. "So this is where you snuck off to." "I didn't think you cared with that blonde on you." Enzo huffs, turning to stand in front of me protectively. I swallow, tensing up with the confrontation. "So you just... thought I wouldn't care if you took her away?" Stefan walks closer. Enzo's muscles tense. "Like I said, we didn't think you cared." "Tori." Stefan's voice makes me shiver as well. I don't understand it, but I feel compelled to look over Enzo's shoulder and look at him. His brows furrow as he looks at me, torn. "I thought you weren't a one-night stand kind of girl." I huffed. "I'm not. Enzo-" "We weren't going to have a one-night stand." Enzo clarified. "We were going to have s*x tonight. Then tomorrow. Then the day after-" I blushed. Stefan closed the distance fast, punching Enzo square in the jaw. Enzo took it like a pro, punching back immediately. I moved out of the way, gasping as I watched the scene unfold. Stefan his arms around Enzo, wrestling him to the ground and punching him right in the nose. I yell, "Stop! You guys don't have to fight!" Enzo grabs Stefan's arms and headbutts Stefan hard. Stefan falls over as I hear a crunch and watch blood fall from Stefan's nose. I shriek, "Oh my god, Enzo!" Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the doors open and I see them. Stefan and Enzo's parents.
