CHAPTER XXXVI

I was able to pull the lever and a white light blinded me. I felt my powers flowing through my veins. I quickly focused all of my energy on healing myself. “Haneul, come,” I said and she turned into a bow. “I’ll make you pay for that,” I whispered and aimed at her. If I was a second late from healing my body, I wouldn’t be here. “Why are you doing this?” I asked while looking at her. I can’t understand how she managed to serve Al and take care of Zyn while working with Tyrone. “It’s not as if you’ll understand,” She said while looking at me with pain in her eyes. I scoffed. “If I can’t then tell me,” I said. I hated the pain in her eyes. How dare she act pained when it was her choice to betray Al and Zynrick? “I was in love with Tyrone but he’s in love with that stupid Al! Now that I’m in love with Zynrick, Al is taking him away from me as well! What’s so good about Al?!” She yelled. I despise her so much. I shot her once while she was distracted and I was able to shoot her arm. I walked towards her and kicked her in the stomach. She fell on the floor while clutching her stomach. “You know what I hate the most in this world?” I asked while looking down at her. I stepped on her when she didn’t speak. “Answer me,” I said while looking down at her. “Fine, if you won’t answer then I’ll tell you,” I said and knelt beside her. “I don’t care about what you hate,” She said and spat at me. I wanted to wring her neck but I stopped myself. “You’re such an ungrateful person,” I whispered in her ear. “Zynrick obviously values you but you let your jealousy of Al get the best of you. You probably don’t even know how Zynrick defended you when I exposed you to him,” I added. Tears were starting to fall from her eyes and I hated seeing that joy in her face. “Elle, you’re hurting me,” I heard Haneul say. I looked at her and said, “Revert, Haneul,” I stood up and pulled Erin by the hair. I could feel my chest hurting from the jealousy I was feeling. What was so special about this woman? Zynrick defended her from me twice. Is he blind for not seeing that she’s just using him? I bet the love she was saying was all bullshit. “You don’t love Zynrick,” I said as I pull her, “You’re only using him,” I added and teleported us to where Zynrick and Tyrone were. I saw the surprise in their eyes when Erin and I appeared in the middle of the battle field. “What’s with the expression?” I asked while looking at them alternately. I smirked. I know why they’re looking at me. It’s because I’m with Erin. I bet they’re thinking of saving her from me when she was the first one to attack me. I scoffed, “Answer me,” I commanded and looked at them. They were bloody from the fight they were having but who cares about that. “Elle, what did you do?” Zynrick asked while looking at me with a horrified expression. I knew it. I was right. I’m nothing to Zynrick. “So, I’m the bad guy again,” I whispered wrapped my hand around Erin’s neck. “Elle, you’re dark side is overpowering you,” I heard Al say which pissed me off even more. “It’s not! I’m still sane!” I yelled while chocking Erin. My dark side isn’t showing. I’m still stable. Is Al on Erin’s side too? “Elle! Stop it!” I heard him yell. I felt a sting on my chest when he told me to stop. “Izamu, revert,” I said and he turned into his true form. I saw how Zynrick’s eyes went wide when he saw Al. I wouldn’t blame him for such a reaction. He’s seen Al as a human not as a demon. Al’s a wolf demon from the underworld. He has a huge tail and dog ears. He also has a long hair that went pass his buttocks. “Al,” Zynrick whispered. I looked at Erin and it seems that she is near death. I was starting to smile because she looks like she was dying. I didn’t know that this was the joy of killing someone without restriction. Is this how killing on your own will feels lie? If I had known then I would’ve done this a long time ago. “What the f**k?!” I yelled in anger when Tyrone kicked me and I was thrown half across the room. I was about to charge towards them when I felt Zynrick grab my arm. “What’s happening to you?” He asked while looking straight into my eyes. I scoffed at him, “I can’t believe I like someone like you,” I whispered but it seems like he didn’t hear me. I’m sure he didn’t hear because I’m not Erin. I’m not worth listening to. “Zynrick, restrain her, please,” I heard Al whisper beside Zynrick. “I’ll take care of Tyrone for now but please fix your relationship with her,” He said while looking straight into Zynrick’s eyes. I looked at Tyrone and he was preoccupied with helping Erin survive. He was doing CPR and I wanted to stop it. I want to see Erin’s blood flow through my skin. “You do know that she’s a half, right?” I heard Al ask so I turned towards them. He’s going to tell Zynrick about it. “Well, as the child of the purest woman in the world-“ He started but I cut him off by covering his mouth. I don’t like talking about it. “Elle, let me hear it,” Zynrick said and grabbed my arms. He was restricting me while he listened to what Al was saying. “As I was saying, since she’s the daughter of the purest woman and the darkest man in the world she has no balance. Her body and powers doesn’t know what she’s supposed to be. It’s as if she herself doesn’t know how to exist, if it should be by purely using white magic or dark magic.” Al started and I felt my tears flow. Why would he tell Zynrick about this? “Ever since her parents died she fell into dark magic. She killed mercilessly and she had no regards for human life,” Al said and looked at me with an apologetic expression. The memories of what I did back then came rushing into my head when he started to continue. “She killed hundreds of people when she was sent to war. Even Athaeas couldn’t save her back then.” He said and walked to me to caress my face. “That’s why Haneul was left in her possession to keep her balance,” “Elle has been doing well but something must’ve triggered her. May it be a small trigger such as envy, if she succumbs to it she’ll end up falling in darkness again. So, please, save her,” Al said and charged towards Tyrone. I could feel the anger in my body from fading. I was calming down. “Zynrick!” I heard Erin yell and Zynrick’s eyes went to her. “Don’t kill her!” Zynrick yelled while holding me. Before I knew it, all I saw was black.
