A contract marriage
Marissa Stoner wrapped a towel around her body and stood in front of the door. "You... Do you want me to take the towel off, or shall I help you take your clothes off first?" In front of her was a man in a wheelchair, with a blindfold covering his eyes, her future husband. It was the first time he and Marissa had ever met. He was a handsome man, with a shaped nose and full, pink lips. His eyebrows were perfect and dark, as was his short hair. He was like an enchanted adonis. Unfortunately he was wheelchair-bound and apparently blind. Many people said that David Loomer had bad luck. In fact, rumour had it that he had sentenced his parents when he was only 6 years old. When he grew up, all of his fiancées had died unexpectedly. When Marissa heard about it, she was afraid. However, her family needed the money to save Grandma Stoner. She was willing to sell herself for love of her grandmother. David suddenly removed the blindfold from his eyes and glanced indirectly at the woman in front of him, "Do you even know who you married?" His half was sinister, yet fixed to a point, Marissa sensed he was watching her. He was blind, though, wasn't he? how could a blind man cause so much fear with his eyes? Marissa had never met a blind person before, but she had no choice but to think it was all normal. "Yes, I know" she replied after a second's hesitation. "And... aren't you afraid of dying?" David replied in a low tone. At that, Marissa's hands trembled, and a slight sigh escaped her lips. "No, I'm not afraid... You saved my grandmother, so I owe you a great debt. I will give you children and take care of you for the rest of my life!" she said in a charming tone but with a serious expression. David silently examined her for a few seconds before he let out a wry smile, "If that's the case, help me take a shower!" Marissa paused slightly and blushed, "Okay," she said. After Mr. Loomer promised she would marry David, she didn't plan on regretting her decision. She was now his legal wife. Even though David was a wheelchair-bound person, it was understandable that she would care for him and attend to him, even to take a bath. Soon Marissa went to the bathroom and began to prepare the tub with hot water. Meanwhile, David was left with a deep expression on his face, in fact, he had sent Marissa to investigate. She was an ordinary girl from a small town who was willing to marry him to cover her grandmother's medical expenses. However, she was unaware of David's unfortunate fate. His former fiancées were from powerful families in different countries. Sadly, they had been murdered days before the wedding in mysterious ways. Marissa, on the other hand, was foolish and naïve, in fact, she might have been the only one to survive before the wedding. perhaps people didn't even take her into account because of her low status. as David thought about it, the sound of the bathroom door suddenly sounded. He looked up and lowered the blindfold, he could see the light shining on it. Immediately a trace of brightness came into his eyes. Before him a woman stepped out of the bathroom mist, her long, wet hair and angelic, contoured face. The towel that wrapped around her was completely wet and clung to her body, framing her fine, delicate curves. "Wait a second" she said as she bent down and grabbed a suitcase from the corner of the room. As she opened the suitcase, it revealed her delicately folded underwear. Suddenly Marissa pulled out a white silk set and ripped off the tag before putting it on. In her mind David was blind, so he wouldn't see her place the garment in front of him. However, that simple movement had quite a profound meaning for a man. Was she testing him to see if he really was blind? without thinking about it, Marissa finished dressing and walked over to him to push his chair into the bathroom. When she helped him in, she quickly stopped in front of him and began stripping off his clothes one by one. David narrowed his eyes at her through the fine mist, while she lowered her gaze with an attentive expression. Her movements were so serious he felt like a professional nurse. Finally Marissa looked down and withdrew her hands uncomfortably. "You... you... can keep it on if you want..." she said, looking down at David's boxer shorts. David smiled awkwardly and bit his lips charmingly, "I can't take a bath with that on...". At that irrefutable answer, Marissa nodded before turning her hands downward while David was a little stunned. In his daze he looked at Marissa's serious appearance and frowned. Was that woman really dumb? "Let's get in the tub," he said suddenly. Marissa heard his words and nodded. She didn't seem to see the difference between her body and his. she just held him and helped him into the tub. "You're not afraid of pain, are you?" she asked. "what?" before she heard him, she turned around and opened the shelves next to her to look for something, while combing her hair back. After a few minutes, she pulled out a loofah and turned to David. At the sight of her, David looked up in surprise. This woman was planning to...? Marissa hadn't even asked his opinion on the matter, she just raised her hand and started on his back. "if you feel pain, tell me" David was speechless. The bath idea was a test, and evidently she did it much better than he had imagined. Marissa carved her back in a hard, serious way, without causing pain or discomfort. In fact, before marrying business tycoon David Loomer, Marissa cared for her grandparents for years. She used to give them hot baths every day, so she didn't feel any discomfort when she did it. As a matter of fact, her grandparents always complimented her, and she hoped he would, too. With that in mind, Marissa squatted down and continued to massage every part of her body... before long, she began to sweat. At that, David frowned and hesitated a little. Had he misjudged her? She was a simple woman, could he plan something against her now that they were married? After Marissa had washed almost every part of his body, she suddenly stopped and pointed to a spot. "You... Do you want me to wash you there?" she asked with red cheeks. "What do you think?" said David seriously. "Well... I'm... I'm going to wash you." she said frowning. After those words, Marissa took the sponge again and moved her hands down to David's groin. Before she reached her destination, however, David's hand came down on her wrist with force. At that moment the atmosphere in the bathroom became tense. "How can I wash myself and he was holding me?" she hinted with a pure stare. "Get out of here" David's voice was full of coldness At those words Marissa was perplexed, "If I leave, how can you finish your bath?" However, David didn't respond...he was annoyed, and Marissa could tell. She just let go of the sponge and stood up shyly before leaving. as she left the bathroom, she felt uneasy and full of worry. every minute she looked closer to the bathroom. the floor was so slippery, he could slip and fall. What could she do if he died in there? She had just got married, she couldn't lose her husband that night! Thinking about a lot of things, her phone suddenly rang. Apparently Wendy Dilsen had sent her a video with a description -Learning Material-. When Marissa saw the label, she was intrigued and clicked on the video without hesitation. However, an indecent scene appeared on the screen forcing her to exclaim internally. Marissa quickly blushed and in her panic tried to stop the video. Unfortunately her phone decided to continue playing just as the bathroom door opened. David had just come out when a couple of slightly raised voices cornered him. "What are you doing?" he asked intrigued. Marissa's nerves were evident as sweat beaded on her cheeks. Panicked and nervous, she hid the phone under a blanket and sat on it. Unfortunately the low volume didn't cover an unexpectedly fiery scream from a woman on the video. "You..." said David stopping his words. "I... I watch a video about massages" she exclaimed, looking for a convincing excuse. she awkwardly used her body to press down and tried in vain to suppress the woman's voice. However, David's exquisite facial features snorted a mocking and cold tone at the same time. "Yes" she nodded nervously. David was struck dumb by her response. Apparently the woman not only thought he was blind, but stupid as well? For a moment the room fell into an awkward silence. The woman's voice from the video could be vaguely heard, which made Marissa really uncomfortable. Soon the warm light from the lamp was clear and made the heart beat with an ambiguous feeling. At that moment, David's breathing became heavy and his eyes sparkled. Fortunately for Marissa, the video finally ended. Quickly she wiped the sweat from her brow and picked up the phone that lay warm beneath her body.... David rested his hand on the bed, and turning from the chair to the bed he softly smirked at the corner with a mocking expression. "Yes, the massages are over?" she said with an uncomfortable smile. David didn't know what to say at that moment, while Marissa just stood there and watched her friend's video. She quickly texted Wendy with a furious expression "How dare you? Wendy, you'll get me in trouble!" "Don't be a killjoy...don't thank me for my generosity! didn't you say your new husband has a disability? this video will help you!" Wendy responded Upon reading Wendy's response, Marissa decided not to respond.... However, she always thought David was blind, so she didn't hesitate for a second to hide her phone while she texted Wendy. David could clearly read cd to one of her messages. "He almost found out about the video... I had to sit on the phone and try to shut him up! luckily he's blind, otherwise he'd easily want me to find out..." Marissa finally answered. He could express his anger at knowing that Marissa thought of him like that, but, that would definitely kill the charm. "Well... A wedding night is a gem. I'll try not to delay you or your blind husband... enjoy your night!" Wendy hinted. When David read that, he frowned. That woman was nasty.... However, Marissa put down the phone and sighed deeply. "Let's get started" she addressed him calmly. David's gaze rested on her, as she gently clenched her hands into fists. It hadn't even been a day since they had first met... Yet Marissa could deduce that David didn't like her. Still... she suddenly felt David's hand around her slim waist... "without regret?" he asked "You're my husband... I won't regret it?" Marissa hinted with her cheeks flushed. At that, David sighed and noticed the tenderness in the depths of her clear eyes. The next morning, two of the maids were on their way to the kitchen to prepare the sedan. both had arrived looking sleepy and exhausted. "Did you see? the boss's new wife looks silly and naive. Will they get along?" said one of the maids mockingly. "I heard that from the guards who were on duty" another of the maids said "Yes? that woman looks so innocent..." "Good morning!" before the maid could finish speaking, Marissa's soft, feminine voice was heard in the kitchen. She looked so lovely, with her round face and a flowered apron tied around her waist. Marissa held in her hands a bowl of fruit and a bowl of cooked oatmeal, "Are they always this early?" The atmosphere became unexpectedly awkward for a few seconds. Both maids looked into each other's eyes in consternation. They thought Marissa had overheard their conversation, yet they approached her to help her. "Miss, what are you doing here? why are you up so early?" a maid asked. "It's not early, the clock will soon strike 7!" Marissa said, looking at the clock in her hand. In fact, she had not slept well the night before, so she woke up earlier than usual. When the maids saw her, they were a bit panicked... "Miss, do you think we're late?". Both had been hired to prepare breakfast before David woke up, but now he was late. thinking about it, they felt dread and were about to prepare breakfast, but when they turned around, they realised that the table was already set. There were different dishes, eggs, breads, oatmeal, fruit salads and pancakes.... When they saw that, the maids were stunned... "Miss, this..." I have prepared them! "I made them myself!" Marissa said with a big smile "I don't know what my husband likes, so I made everything!" she added As she spoke, she took two plates and served a couple of pancakes and brought them over to the maids "I didn't expect you to come so early, but, you can eat... I'll prepare others in a moment..." After saying that, she quickly turned around and went back to the kitchen. However, both maids approached her and stopped. "Miss Marissa..." In fact, they were both paid to come in every morning and prepare breakfast, but Marissa had done it all, and would she get them fired? David could get angry! "...Miss, Pamela and I are responsible for making breakfast here. I understand you've just arrived, and you don't understand Mr. Loomer's eating habits, so you'd better not make trouble" said one of the maids in a disgruntled tone. Immediately, the other maid approached Marissa and frowned, "Mistress Mirta is correct. Please don't cook any more random dishes. Mr. Loomer will be angry..." After that, Mirta looked with dresden at the ordinary dishes Marissa had prepared "Mr. Loomer appreciates decent food, sandwiches, natural fruit juice and milk.. you made... oatmeal, and stir fry... don't you think it's too peasant? Mr. Loomer doesn't eat this stuff" At those words, Marissa felt a tinge of astonishment as her face grew somber and her gaze dropped quickly "You're right...". After a moment, she looked up and smiled brightly as she looked at Mirta "All right, in that case I'll throw this food away". When Pamela heard that, she was stunned. Maybe Mirta had gone too far with her words. However, the lady was not angry at all, she even took the initiative to clear the table. Looking at the dishes on the table, Pamela couldn't stand Marissa throwing the food away, so she quickly stepped forward and stopped Marissa's movements. "Miss, it would be a waste to dispose of this food. Let me send it to the servants. just don't cook anything like this again, okay?" Pamela added in a soft, polite tone, "All right... I'll go upstairs" said Marissa disappointedly. After that, she just turned around and went upstairs. Apparently she was not welcome at Loomer Manor.
