Waiting until last minute to make my down the stairs, I intentionally made a late entrance after the car pulled up outside. Just another small gesture to let Adrian know that he was not longer in full control of my every move. Hoping for less interaction with Adrian. I was over being mad. But, he had yet to apologize. Petty, I know. But, he had to learn that I would not tolerate being lied to. Ever! His brutish attitude and alpha complex was the root cause of every argument we have had thus far. I just hope this takes him down a peg or two instead of riling him up. It seemed to be one extreme or the other with him. With me too, I guess. We definitely had a long way to go if this was going to work.
Just as I made it to the landing, I hear Alex's familiar voice ..."Riley's sister...
