we move quickly through the dense foliage. One mate on either side, guiding me through the darkness. I can't help the sense of de ja vu. I swear I'd been this way before. Even though I was never allowed anywhere near the woods. My nerves are on edge. My stomach is reeling. I feel like I had just gotten off of a rollercoaster. The whole world felt off balance. My apprehension grows as we reach a large clearing.
The noise around us fades into the background. The grass seems to have a glowing hue under the moonlight. I take in a deep breath to steady my nerves. I've been here before. All of the noises of nature are blocked out as we enter the glowing blue ring.
