I couldn’t believe Amaris had to save me and Marie. It should’ve been the other way around. If my goal was to impress her, I was off to a really shitty start.
We’d been running through the woods at full speed for close to an hour. I knew the arena was massive, but I was still surprised at just how large it truly was.
We came to a good sized stream with water flowing downhill. We all quenched our thirst before shifting back.
Amaris had found my backpack before she had found us, I pulled out the canteen and leaned down to fill it up.
We didn’t have much time, we needed to get moving. I knew Drake was going to be very pissed off when he discovered us missing.
“We need to shift and go upstream against the flow of the water. It’ll help wash our scent away.” I told Amaris and
