Lucien wakes up the next morning with a major headache at the crack of dawn. Drinking a glass of water and regretting the excessive drinking he did the night before. He goes to the bathroon to take a quick shower and proceeds to the training ground to meet his warriors and brother like he does every day. When he reached, he noticed more than 800 warriors there warming up. His brother and his sister-in-law, Cassidy were among them doing their stretches together. Sean is considered tall at 6ft7" with chestnut brown hair and blue eyes similar to Lucien himself except that Lucien was a little bit more taller with a bigger build.

" Good morning Sean, Cassidy and my fellow warriors, i hope all of you are ready for todays training,"spoke Lucien as he reached the center of the ground. Sean gave him a wink and whispered," Brother we have been ready for the past half hour, I wonder what happened last night as you look like s**t today.".

Cassidy smiled and teased ," Behave Sean, you know that your brother is having a hard time lately. I remember when you used to come for practice looking worse for wear on many occasions."

Sean and Cassidy met at this very training ground on the day that Cassidy turned 18. Cassidy is a beautiful blonde with green eyes and a petite build. She is also one of the fastest athletes in the pack and was looking forward to testing her new-found strength on her 18th birthday after gaining her wolf. Unfortunely for her, Sean was still bit drunk on the morning of the training when he sensed her as his mate. He carried her straight to his room refusing to let her leave for the next 3 days. Needless to say at the end of that,she was marked and mated to the chagrin of Sarah, teh two boys mother, who was looking forward to planning the 1st mating ceremony for her son.

Lucien loved how Cassidy and Sean would play about like this just to make him happy. Secretly he hoped that he would have this soon as well with the blessing of the moon goddess.

Lucien just laughed and proceeded to guide the warriors for a 10km run followed by a one on one sparring session. By 9am everyone was exhausted and proceeded back to the pack house for breakfast. Lucien stayed back to lie on the grass and soak in the morning sun.

Sean came and sat beside him," What's the matter brother? It's not like you to come late for training and with a hangover at that."

Lucien told Sean regarding the talk with the werewolf council yesterday and the dilemma that he is left with.

" You know how much finding her means to me, Sean, I cant just give up on the happiness that I see in you, Cassidy, mom and dad but i also know that I have a duty to this pack."

" Thats tough brother, I know how long you have been looking for her and I would do anything to help you find that missing piece if I knew how. What do you want to do about it," asked Sean sympathetically.

" I'm still unsure yet Sean, but if I were to pass you the title, would you be willing to take over the pack?" asked Lucien while staring at his brothers face.

" Lucien, you know that I would do anything for you and this pack, but you still have time. Don't rush this decision, you never know she may be just around the corner waiting for you," smiled Sean as he held his brothers shoulder.

" Spoken like a true leader , Sean, you are already an alpha even without the title you know that right," laughed Lucien.

" Of course brother, I am the smart one after all," chuckle Sean as he pulled his brother up to head to the breakfast hall.

In the breakfast hall, Lucien and Sean sat at the main table with Cassidy.

" Where is mom and dad," asked Sean looking at their empty seat.

" Mom messaged me in the morning, that there is an urgent meeting at the werewolves council for all the packs. Apparently the princess of the werewolf's kingdom had been kidnapped and they want all hands on deck to search for her in our realm," said Lucien as he grabbed a piece of toast.

"Who would want to kidnap the princess, could it have anything to do with the rogues attacks recently," asked Cassidy while drinking her orange juice. "After all, the portal is around here in New Jersey right."

" Yea, I have been doing some surveilance in the rogue territory since the attack last month. It seems like they have moved to another camp. When we interrogated the rogues we captured the other day, they all say the same thing. That the leader is from the werewolf realm but they have not met him before as he would always send another wolf on his behalf," said Sean.

Lucien was not at ease hearing this from his brother. Could the rogue attacks to their pack and the missing princess be somewhat related? " Sean, I hope you can accompany our best tracker to scout the area around the portal for any clues on the missing princess. It may very well be related to the attacks against us," said Lucien.

" Cassidy please do some research regarding this princess, as we know very little about how she looks and who her enemies may be," Lucien spoke to Cassidy as he grabbed some bacon and eggs.

" You can count on us, I heard rumour about a prochecy surrounding the princess. I will go to the councils library to try to gather more information," Cassidy said as she waved goodbye to Lucien and kissed Sean on the cheek.

"I will head to the city and see if I can gather any information regarding her whereabouts," Lucien said as he left the table to go to his office.

Lucien sat at his desk thinking hard about the recent event. What could be causing the rogues to gather together and attack. They are usually creatures of solitute, preferring to roam free than work in packs. There must be some a reason that they have gathered together now. If they are working for someone in the werewolf realm, would there be a war brewing. It may be good for them to strengthen their defenses just in case.

Lucien mind linked James," James, I'm sure you have heard on the recent events from Sean by now"

" Yes alpha,"

" Please double our guards for now, until we know more details about what is happening in the other realm" Lucien said as he closed the link.

Lucien that proceeded to complete all his paperwork regarding the pack finances and new placements for the newly mated wolves in the pack.

By dusk, Lucien was already exhausted and decided to head for dinner. At the dining hall, Sarah and William were already at the head table waiting for him.

"Good evening mother and father, what news do you have from the council," said Lucien lazily as he sat down.

" Son, apparently the princess disappered on the night of her coronation, her mate is searching everywhere for her as the kingdom is now without a ruler until she is found," exasperated William while drinking a mug of beer.

" The werewolves council are worried that she may have been abducted to the earth realm to start a war between the two realms, as such they want all packs out looking for her," spoke Sarah gently as she ate her steak.

" Understood mother, I will be heading to New york for the next few days to see if there are any signs of her there," explained Lucien as he got ready to leave. Looks like his decision to step down will have to wait until this current crisis has been resolved.
