Marcus Tremayne, former inmate at Ashworth Hospital and one-time 'friend' of Peter Adamson had obtained his release from the psychiatric facility a year after Adamson had been released. Having served a total of eighteen years incarcerated in Ashworth, he'd eventually been deemed safe to be released on licence, under the current 'care in the community' policy.
