“So, how do you know Dock?”
Leo looked over at Ollie, who had just asked the question as they were walking into Classical Cooking, It was an early morning class and Leo was always on edge during this particular class, which was taught by Professor Haden, who never missed a trick and constantly criticized Leo for being too rigid.
“Not now,” he said under his breath as he readied his station. They were just starting the pastry series of the class and Leo was confounded by pastry, while Ollie excelled at it. The instructor was already super critical, and when they had attempted croissants the previous week, Leo had been torn apart.
“Beautiful to look at, Mr. Leo, but inedible. I have not tasted such an abuse of butter in many years; I take my hat off to you, sir!” the chef instr
