Esmeralda cried as she sang the song she finally realized what the song is all about.

Even though her mother sings the song to her as a lullaby it’s actually a song about a mother who is longing for her children.

Eld’ara what a good mother she commented. Klaudh who was listening to Esmeralda singing became enchanted with her voice. He walked closer to the riverside

I have two announcements first the inter-realm dance is approaching and the academy has been asked to host this anticipated event.

Azarael looked at her with widened eyes wondering how she found out. Azarael removed his gaze from Esmeralda.

Secondly,the inter-realm championship duel is coming up a week after the dance. Everyone should form a group of 4,only 5 groups will be allowed to participate in the duel. You are going to battle one another two days before the dance.

Orion who was Jericho in disguise looked at the four of them before walking to his office. As he entered he felt a presence in his office. Archane come out he said.

The lord xandros told me to inform you that Azarael is loosing grip on his darkness. Is there a way for you to stop it.

Jericho looked at archane I’m sorry I can only see not intrude. Archane Bowed to him and left.

Jericho sat down in thought,NYX she is messing with his powers.

Meanwhile Uriel and Esmeralda were discussing,

Esmeralda,Gux was hurt and I had to help I can’t just ignore all because of aza and besides I don’t think of aza that same way

Uriel became confused as she walked in the corridor. She noticed a shadowy figure in the darkness,who are you?she demanded. I am archane the demon replied.

Sensing her fear archane finally spoke up before he could complete his sentence he heard Azarael’s voice boom from the corridor

You’re permitted archane.Archane bowed and vanished into the shadows.

Aza what are you doing here,Uriel asked. Azarael looked at her and replied coldly,sorry for intruding your privacy I will leave now.

Uriel was surprised at his outburst,she just stared at his back which was getting farther away from her.

She bit her lips as she stared at him,why am I feeling hurt.

Later that day,Azarael arrived in his room he was filled with pain the darkness whispered to his ears,he was trying not to succumb to it

He got up and walked to the rooftop,he saw Uriel and Gux chatting and laughing he clenched his fist in anger.

The next day, Azarael encountered Uriel in the hallway,he held her and vanished into thin air.

They arrived at a mountain,why did you bring me here aza?Uriel asked.

Riel Azarael said lightly stroking her cheeks,Uriel removed his hands from her face what do you want aza she asked.

She started breathing heavily Uriel state of panic attracted attention Orion who is also Jericho asked klaudh to put her in the oasis at the back of the academy. All the students and teachers gathered around her Klaudh gently dipped her in the pool,the students gasped in awe as the water glowed in purple.

Esmeralda eyes changed to purple as she start to communicate with the river.

We have to find Azarael,Uriel said with tears in her eyes.

They searched all over the academy till dawn but Azarael was nowhere to be found.

The inter-realm dance came faster than expected and still no one has seen Azarael.

Azarael was consumed in the darkness he knelt down before NYX, I’m always ready to serve you Lady Nyx. Nyx pat his head like a little good pet.

Azarael listened to Nyx as she commanded him. This humble servant will serve you wholeheartedly.

On the night of the inter-realm dance,Esmeralda wore a black backless dress with a long slit to her thighs she put on a purple emerald necklace and crystal earrings with black stiletto while Uriel wore a emerald green strapless dress which exposed her Décolletage with a black onyx gem and earrings. They met klaudh at the entrance of the hall with a black tuxedo.

Any news of Azarael,Uriel asked as soon as she saw klaudh

Klaudh shook his head signaling as no. Uriel sighed.

Let’s go in klaudh said noticing the tension between Esmeralda and Uriel.

The herald announces the arrival of Klaudh,Esmeralda and Uriel.

They gracefully walked towards the supernatural leaders and bowed.

Uriel you’ve looked more matured than the last time I saw you,Lyra Azarael mother said.

She smiled and left no comment. The trio were sitting together watching the performances.

Azarael has been missing for days Uriel spoke with a concerning tone.

If you had done what I had asked you,Azarael wouldn’t be in this condition,Esmeralda shouted at Uriel angrily. Esme stop it klaudh said.

Fighting won’t solve anything we have to find Azarael at all cost.

The music started playing and suddenly a hand was extended to Uriel.

I wouldn’t miss this night for the world. As klaudh was about to talk to Azarael Esmeralda signaled him to look at the color of Azarael’s eyes. It then dawned on klaudh,his eyes widened as he stared at Azarael who was still extending his hand to Uriel.

May I have this dance? Azarael asked

Uriel stared at Esmeralda who nodded at her. Uriel puts her palm on his,she followed Azarael as they walked to the dancing floor.

Azarael held Uriel’s waist as they twirled in the dance floor.

Azarael what’s going on Uriel asked

Tonight,I’m going to show you my true self,klaudh and Esmeralda watched Azarael and Uriel without batting an eyelid.

The crowd slowly cleared the way for Azarael and Uriel. Xandros realizing what’s going on fortified the area with the darkness. The dance floor became a whirlwind of dark and light energy.

Uriel stared at Azarael pitch dark eyes somehow mesmerized as they were about to kiss Gux shouted

Azarael stop Gux said,the crowd turned to look at him awaiting the outcome.

Azarael eyes blazed with anger,haven’t you learn your lesson Or do you want to be killed before you have an idea of what I’m capable of.

Gux took out his angelic sword and rushed forward to attack Azarael,with a snap of Azarael fingers the darkness consumed Gux. After seeing that Azarael was going to far,klaudh and Esmeralda tried to protect Gux.

The fight was getting tougher and the people were getting injured,Esmeralda turned to the supernatural leaders and asked them to leave with the others and fortify the hall with magic.

The crowd quickly dispersed the hall was surrounded with so many layers of barriers. The crowd outside were agitated on what was going inside.

Orion turned to the supernatural leaders who were worried. The prophecy has begun he said making all the supernatural leaders turned to him.

Don’t worry they will handle it.

The fight was going on for a very long time,Uriel stood there not doing anything she was confused between her loyalty to Gux or her feelings for Azarael.

NYX who was watching them smiled,savoring the chaos she whispered “perfect “

Azarael please Uriel begged crying. Azarael eyes changed from pitch black to emerald green for a split second before changing back.

Esmeralda noticed it and came up with a plan. Uriel I need you to channel all your light to your heart.

Klaudh move Esmeralda shouted. With the power of light I command the darkness to be bound Esmeralda said as Uriel light burst from her heart to Azarael. Azarael groaned the power from Uriel and Azarael fought against each other while holding the spell Esmeralda did a protection spell.

Their energy blasted which pushed all of them outside coughing blood except Esmeralda,the building collapsed.

Esmeralda! Klaudh shouted

They found her under a big stone,klaudh lifted her in his arms as he ran to the oasis.

She was dipped in the river. her wounds are healing,Azarael said behind klaudh
