Lucy POV I take two Tylenol with a sip of water before I sit on the couch. My back and hips are aching. I pull the blanket over my legs and flip the TV on. I rub my hand over my belly and try not to think about Calob but it's impossible. I just don't understand why he couldn't just love me. A knock on the front door brings me out of my thoughts. I stand straightening my clothes before I head to the door. As soon as the door swings open, my heart starts to race. "Hello ma'am, my name is Officer Levinston. Are you Lucy Johnson?" "I am, officer. What can I help you with?" "May I come in, Ms. Johnson? I have some questions I need to ask you and I would prefer it not be done on your porch," he says.
