Briar POV Dante pulls into the parking lot of the Regional Hospital. Once he parks, he comes around to open my door. He offers me his hand, which I gladly take. My nerves have been all over the place since I spoke with Melanie this morning. They repeated Calob's scan last night and the bleeding is resolving on its own. The neurosurgeon was in early to discuss taking the sedation away and allowing Calob to wake up on his own. When Melanie called me with the update, I could tell she wanted to ask me to be there. I could hear it in her voice. I hate how much all of this has affected not just me, but everyone. I don't ever want her to feel like she has to worry about needing me. Calob may not be my husband anymore, but he is still important to me. I want to be there for him and his parents.
