a beautiful sunset

chapter -1 it was a brand new beginning a fresh start in my life for me i remember it just like yesterday I was just getting released from the prison Danville correctional facility it was on a Tuesday afternoon at 12:00 o'clock PM I found myself getting my freedom back at last . the correctional officers drove me all the way to the bus station i got out the van and quickly as possible and purchase a bus ticket at the Greyhound bus station in Danville Illinois I was so happy to get the hell out of that situation . now I sat down at the Greyhound bus station for at least a whole hour waiting to get on the bus back to Chicago. Everything felt so different and the view has definitely changed it seems like I have been gone for a long time cause I was sentenced to 10 years in the slammer doing nothing but hard time . Now the bus has finally arrived I got on the Greyhound bus back to Chicago. The bus only stops 2 times for all the passengers on the bus were giving a 15 minutes break to get a bite to eat or drink and used the restroom then we were back on the bus to Chicago it definitely was cold outside the bus ride to Chicago was 8 hours long we finally arrived at Union station downtown Chicago all the passengers got off the Greyhound bus including me we were definitely back in the windy city for sure . Now I called for a cab I mean a taxi it took about 25 minutes before the cab driver arrived to pick me up he said where to,I said 5038 south Loomis Chicago, IL .60609 . so the cab driver was on his way to drop me off at the crib it took the cab driver 25 minutes to get me to my destination he was driving through downtown Chicago all the way to the expressway 20 minutes on the expressway then the cab driver got off the expressway exiting on 47th and the dan Ryan it took me another 10 minutes to get home I was finally at home it was like a fresh breath of air I just got out of the cab wave goodbye to the cab driver Walk up to the house and my mom open the front door welcomeing me surpriseing me with a big hug and a surprise welcome home party . I was just getting settled in chopping it up with my brother's and sister's laughing and having fun letting them know how much I truly missed them all . because I truly enjoyed the time I got to spend with my family . Now as I sit back in the house for a couple of days waiting on my parole officer I really needed some time to think about my life and with I am going to do too make a change so I got on the phone and call my old boss Dave samber asking him can I come back to work and he said yes . it seems like I was back on track I was just waiting on my parole officer to show up and make a daily routine now my parole officer said he will be my way and about 20 minutes I said ok . now my parole officer just showed up and to check the area where I was laying my head the check came back clear i was all set to go back To work so I start work tomorrow I was quickly hired on the job as a dish washer at the restaurant polo Inn back then the name of the restaurant was called polo cafe on the south side of Chicago and Bridgeport on 35th and Morgan st . I was definitely so ready to start making some real legit money at least I can definitely say I love the sound of that when it comes to making legit money . I was truly back working a nine to five job at the polo Inn restaurant 8 hours a day 7 days out of the week 84 hours every two weeks so I can say my work schedule was very busy at the time leaving me with little less time to spend with friends and family or just going out for fun . I can say the only thing I had time for was my bed and some sleep then it was back to work for me I was making enough money to pay to out with the rent I was giving my money close to $600 or $700 dollars a month for my half of the rent even doe she told me no she won't accept it I still gave it to her I even had enough money to save up for a new apartment but I didn't move just yet . after a while I started to ask my boss Dave samber for a couple days off since I was a good employee he said ok . So I called my friend kurton Wilson up to see what he was doing for the couple of days I had off he said he wasn't doing anything so I asked him do he wants to hang out he said yes so we got a couple of beers then we both was sitting on the front porch of my moma house drinking and talking just chopping it up a little bit . me and Kurt actually worked at the same place he was just off for the weekend then later that night Kurt left and went home I went back in the crib to watch a movie I was watching the movie bad boys featuring Martin Lawrence and will Smith . the least I can say I have been out for about a couple of weeks just enjoying life to the fullest then out of nowhere I got a call from my brother and law Chuck he ask me if I wanted to take a ride with him so I said yes and i asked him where we were going and he said we were just going to drive around for a little bit . so we both were riding around for a while then he said I know you have been locked up for a long time and I know you probably want to meet someone hey I got a friend I want you to meet and by the way her name is evette . I said all ok I was definitely looking forward to meeting her so we just pulled up to her house on 55th and wells right by expressway on 55th and the Dan Ryan she was looking out the window then chuck called her on the phone then 15 minutes later she came outside and I immediately introduced myself to her like a gentleman supposed to . all I said to her was , evette hi you doing my name is jacquero but all my friends and family preferred to call me Jack but it seems like she was not feeling good at all well , so I just gave her a hug and said i will see you really soon . now she went back inside the house because she had to get back to her first born son name William Williams then chuck pulled off we were gone from in front of evettee s house . now we were just driving back down 55th and Garfield st I had chuck drop me off at the crib as soon as I got in the crib I made me something to eat I had some pizza and fries ? .
