***Caspian's POV***

I didn't want to see her.  Ever since our run, she invaded my thoughts.  I had to go to the breakfast hall as I wished she wouldn't be there, but she was.  She  seemed even more beautiful than before even though I could tell the rejection took a toll on her.

My heart ached at the bags under her eyes but I needed to be firm.  I couldn't have an omega as my mate, even if the moon goddess refused my rejection.

Maybe if I could just get her to hate me, it would be easier.  Seeing Madelyn enter the room, I came up with a plan.  She wanted me bad and I knew it.

Seeing her pretend to stumble and sit on my lap was the lamest thing she could have done but I saw Camila enter the dining room and see Madelyn on my lap.

Instead of hatred, I saw a glistening of tears as she ran away.  This was for the best, I told myself.

What I didn't count on was Liam entering the hall and seeing her.  Without any regard to me, he rushed over and held MY mate in his arms.  

He was getting his scent all over my mate.

Fenris whined at my stubbornness.  "Mate… our mate is sad.  It hurts…"  

Then, I saw Liam kiss her forehead and I saw red.  My body moved on its own as I threw the dumb bimbo Madelyn to the ground as she was both shocked and angry.  Rushing over, I wanted to rip Liam apart for kissing her and for holding her.  She was mine!

"Get. Your. Hands. Off. Her."  Were the only words that I could control myself speaking as the other words would definitely probably cause a fight.

Liam gently pushed my mate behind him protectively and openly mocked me for rejecting her.  I saw red as my anger got the best of me and I punched Liam, knocking him out cold.

Camila's eyes… the look on her face of disdain for my actions and confusion as to why I interrupted when I rejected her as a mate… I thought that was what I wanted.  It hurt like hell to see her look at me like that.

It hurt even more when she immediately went to HIM.  To Liam.  She was my mate!  Not his.

I noticed that I caused quite a scene as I stormed off and back into my room.  As I left, I heard whispers of "is that Omega girl really Caspian's mate?" Great.  It's already started.

Entering my room, I angrily punched the wall, making part of the pack house shake.

"I rejected her!  I wanted to make her hate me but then her eyes… they killed me."  Gripping my silver locks in my hands, I screamed out in frustration.

What the f**k was I going to do?!  

I heard a knock at the door and thought it would be someone else that was going to irritate me.  Opening the door, I saw Madelyn there with a tray of food.

"I figured you would need some food, and maybe some stress relief.  That omega girl was doting all over Liam after you left.  Seems like she really cares for him.  If I didn't know any better, I'd think they were secretly dating!"  Madelyn gasped a bit.

I grabbed the tray of food and set it down before grabbing Madelyn and pulling her into my room before shutting the door.

Pushing her down onto my bed, I climbed on top of her and kissed her, much to her surprise as a satisfied grin appeared on her face.

"No!  She isn't our mate!  Don't do this!"  Fenris whined and begged me to stop.

"I'm just going to use you like the little w***e you are.  You're just going to take it like you've taken the whole rest of the pack."  I growled as my actions screamed a desperation of trying to get Camila off my mind.

"No!!! We saved ourselves for our mate!"  Fenris growled loudly in my head.

I started to unbutton Madelyn's top as she let out a soft moan. 

"Mmm, Alpha, I can't wait to carry your pups."  She grinned and brought her hand up to my arm.  There was no electricity, no spark, nothing.

I stopped as I looked at her and got off her.

"GET OUT!"  I screamed at her as she looked confused and terrified.

"I will never have pups with a w***e like you!  Touching you even makes me feel dirty and ashamed!  GET THE HELL OUT!"  I roared as she scrambled out of my room.

Sitting down, I smelled Madelyn on me and it made me feel sick to my stomach.  I almost f****d her to try to get my mate out of my head.  Also the fact that Liam and Camila may be secretly dating killed me a little. 

I took another shower to wash every ounce of Madelyn off of me but I just felt like garbage.  I had kissed girls before but kissing Madelyn… that was a new low for me.

Sighing, I laid down and stared at the ceiling.  The thought of Liam and her dating… it drove me into a frenzy.  It made me jealous as she was my mate.

"I am one absolutely f****d up mess, aren't I?"  I groaned.

Another knock sounded at the door as I hissed with irritation.  

'It better not be that skank, Madelyn.'  I thought as I opened up the door to see a set of purple eyes looking up at me… and they were angry.

"I may be a 'lowly omega' that isn't 'worthy enough' of being an Alpha's mate but what you did to Liam was absolutely uncalled for!  He didn't deserve to be punched for trying to make sure I was okay!"  Her eyes narrowed and at that moment of strength, she was radiant.  She was so beautiful.

"He deserved it for trying to steal my--"

"Oh the mate YOU REJECTED?!"  She snapped as she stood up to me, regardless of her rank.

"You're the one that doesn't want ME!  You can't just reject me and then sabotage people caring about me the next minute!  You need to make up your damn mind!  I'm not some toy that you don't want and then when someone else wants to play with the toy, you selfishly take it back!  I have feelings too, you know!"

"She's strong!  Our mate is so strong!"  Fenris bounded around happily in my mind.

"So, you came here to yell at me for punching your boyfriend?"  I said, calculating her next actions.

"Boyfriend?  What are you talking about?  I've never dated anyone in my life before!  I was waiting for my fated mate but he has his head so far up his ass that he can't see that the moon goddess knows what she's doing!  If that's your way of telling me to date since you obviously don't want me, then sure.  I'll give Liam a chance.  He doesn't give me mixed signals like you do!"  

The thought of Liam stealing her first kiss, stealing her firsts…  a pit formed in my stomach.

"No.  You are not allowed to date Liam."  I growled stubbornly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, but the last time I checked, you rejected me.  You have no authority if I decide to date."  

There it was… the hatred in her eyes.  I wanted it so she could forget about our bond and this would be easier, but in doing so… I royally just f****d everything up.

"I'll be going now, oh all mighty King Alpha Caspian.  My omega status has probably disgusted you enough."  With that, she left and I felt empty as my wolf also refused to talk to me.

----Mixed Signals----

***Camila's POV***

The next few days were, to put it simply, the most awkward and confusing days of my life.  I had stood up to Caspian after making sure Liam was okay that day.  It felt liberating to cast aside these stupid roles for a moment to give him a piece of my mind.  I'm sure he hated the fact that I had a back bone but I wasn't going to back down while he acted out of line.

Ever since then, Madelyn would openly gloat around me about having a "moment" with Caspian in his room when she brought him food.

I didn't care.  She could have him.  I was so beyond frustrated at the mixed signals that he gave me.  I just wanted a clear sign but I wouldn't be so lucky.

We would pass each other in the halls as my wolf whimpered.  My heart rate increased each time I smelled his scent.  Biting my lip, I ignored it but I knew within a week of finding one's mate, it would be my first heat cycle.  I'd have to probably suffer through it in my room for a few days I was guessing.  I actually had no idea what would happen if I didn't mate.

Throwing the idea in the back of my mind, the thought of Caspian touching my body sickened me after knowing he touched Madelyn.  That's what I forced myself to believe but each time he was near, my body yearned for him much to my dismay.

He felt it too.  His eyes turned black as I entered the room and he bit his bottom lip.  My scent must have affected him as much as his scent affected me.

I would shoot him a death glare and exit the room after getting done my duties.  

"Camila!  Geez, you're never this cold with anyone."  Beth came running up beside me after I exited the room.  

I could tell she was glowing with happiness but also her features crinkled up with worry over me.  I didn't want to worry her though.  Her seventeenth birthday was yesterday and in turn, she had found her mate.

Caspian's little brother and his Beta, Eric, had taken an interest in Beth and after the ceremonial run with Caspian, Eric and Beth locked eyes and that was it.

I saw her marking from Eric as I quickly changed the subject.

"Soooo…. You and Eric already went at it, huh?"  I grinned as Beth's eyes widened and she turned bright red.

"CAMILA!!!"  She squealed embarrassed before covering her face.

"Are you teasing my princess?"  A manly voice sounded as the dark haired, green eyed man came up and wrapped his arm around Beth.

"She's so beautiful and she's mine."  He growled seductively at her as Beth giggled shyly.

"Eric, Beth… get a room!"  I gagged as Eric kissed along her neck.

"Your brother is being mean to my best friend though."  Beth tried to get back on topic as I wanted very much to avoid it.

"I think Beth was just telling me how she wanted to jump your bones before you came, Eric."  I smirked as Beth turned bright red yet again.  Good, I needed to change the topic.

"I did not!  That's not true!"  She gasped.

"Oh, so you didn't enjoy last night when I worshipped your body at least ten times?"  Eric growled and nibbled at her ear.

My heart ached at this.  Why couldn't my mate accept me…?  I couldn't watch it anymore even though I was beyond happy for Beth.  I needed to excuse myself before the tears came like a monsoon.

"I just remembered that I needed to grab my laundry from the lines!  I'll see you two love birds later!  Remember, I want a niece first!"  I teased before hastily making my exit to Beth's protests.

I hastily ran outside as I felt the breeze against my skin.  The wind flirted with my golden locks as I couldn't help but smile.

It felt like a huge weight fell off my shoulders being outside.  He wasn't here and I could just relax.

No matter what, I couldn't feel a bond with Liam.  He was sweet and kind but there just wasn't a spark.  That didn't mean that he didn't try to change my mind.  He constantly would come to me with gifts and flowers especially in front of Caspian.

I had gotten lost in my thoughts that I didn't sense someone coming.  It happened in a flash and I found myself pinned to a tree.

His black eyes bore deep into my soul as his grip was firm.  His breathing was heavy as his lips came crashing into mine.  My body became weak as the electricity coursed through my body.  My hands found his silver hair as I returned the kiss passionately.  He opened his mouth as his tongue licked my lips before I opened mine and teased his tongue with my own.  He kept me pinned against the tree and lifted me up to wrap my legs around him.

Pulling back, Caspian growled.  "Stop leaving your scent everywhere and driving my wolf crazy.  I could smell it in the breeze and lost control."

I felt his growing bulge as I gasped as it throbbed against my clothed folds.  His eyes were pitch black as he attacked my neck with kisses and bites, grinding his bulge against my dress and panties.

A soft moan escaped my lips as he did which drove him into a frenzy.  He pushed my dress to the side and kissed the top parts of my breast, licking my marking spot seductively.

"Camila…"  His voice was husky and needy as he started to pump his clothed length against me.  "I just want to mark you and pump you so full of my seed and make you carry my pups."

Suddenly, his warmth left me and I fell to the ground.  Growling angrily, Caspian balled up his fist and punched the tree behind me.  The tree shook as acorns fell down around us while I just stared up at him in shock.

"Forget this ever happened.  You're a weak Omega and you'll never be my Luna.  I still reject you as my mate."  With that, he morphed into Fenris and took off deep into the woods.

With that, my heart broke all over again.
